Edwin Starr sealed his reputation as a great Soul artist in 1969 when he recorded InchWarInch which became one of the biggest Soul records of all time. In 1989, Starr joined British producer Ian Levine's Motorcity Records project, releasing six singles and the album Where Is the Sound, as well as co-writing several songs for other artists on the tag.
