This is great gift and my mother loves it for her gardening and have her coffee hot without the bugs! Lol. Easy of use and set up and color is great, RED is her favorite. Tough and keeps liquid at temp of preference to user and also to the product type. Stay hot for the hours you set it for. Simply the best travel heated mug. Worth the price and last for years. We already have an Ember mug and that jas been doing great dor 2 years now.

This was a gift from my boyfriend and it’s hands down one of the best! Lol I love how now I can pick up my hot tea in the mornings and transfer them to my travel mug and set it to the perfect temperature for me. I used to always get tea and by the time I made it to work it would be cold so sometimes it would go to waste because reheating doesn’t taste the same. But this travel mug keeps it fresh tasting and at the right temperature. It has an app you can download to control the mug and you can name it. The mug will always greet you, pretty neat. You don’t need the app to control the mug temp or anything but it’s a plus that also lets you see your battery percentage. It comes with a charger but there is also a car charger for it, which he also bought me with it and I LOVE IT!

Works as intended and keeps drinks hot, however the lid broke on the first use and had to order a replacement through warranty. Recommend just purchasing the sip lid and not worry about the mechanical lid that can't be fixed when broken.

I bought this as a gift for my hubby. He takes it everywhere, but his complaint is that it doesn't hold a charge. He doesn't leave it on all the time either. Just long enough to warm to his desired temp then turns it off which is not ideal, but when left on the battery only lasts for about an hour.

I was spa bit skeptical before buying Ember mug, but I decided to give it try because usually when I work I leave my regular mug for more than half an hour so it cools down. Ember mug solved my habit and I really enjoyed it. Ember app is useful, It allows me to set temp and also pushes notification when desired temp has reached. I bough the mug 2 and because of the satisfactory result I bought the travel mug 2 as well. Smart and elegant. It is a bit pricy, I hope it was less than that.

Bad design, mug's battery life is noticeably less within a couple months. Lid is the worst part, fails all the time (6 replacements). There's a hole on the underside of the lid that you can't clean (especially cream in coffee drinkers), tried to corn out hole, failed. Put one of the replacements in dishwasher to clean and guess what... FAILED again. Hand wash another one, can't get that hole clean, tried to scrub it out with brush... FAILED. One fell into sink... FAILED. If you can't clean it properly? Hope you like your coffee a little funky. The lid will not stay open once it fails. For a travel mug, it's not that well built. Can't really travel with it if the lid is no good. Do a quick Google search on ember travel mug lid issue.

I got this as a Christmas gift I been using it for about a month now. I absolutely love it!!!!!! BUT I’m mad because now I can’t drink a cup of coffee out of a normal cup anymore!!! Now I’m going to have to buy another one just in case this one doesn’t get charged for whatever reason!

One of the best investments I've ever purchased. My wife is a daily coffee drinker and she loves it! The app is very cool and useful. Nice stand and the rubber feet keeps the cup secure. Pop up top is a nice none spill touch as well.

Complete junk! Worked for 2 weeks then started glitching. Customer service from Ember has been even worse with either no response or when they do they ask you to jump through hoops to prove the product is faulty. Still no refund or replacement after a month of communicating with them.

Worked great for about three weeks. Now it won’t keep my coffee hotter than 125 unless it’s constantly on the charger. Cool to show off to friends and family, but I would not recommend it. And I’m not one to bash products, but this thing just doesn’t cut it.

I've had this mug for about a year now and it has really helped solve my daily fear of burning my mouth. The guessing game of is it too hot or too cold has been a struggle that other mugs can't solve (Yes, I'm talking about you yeti and stanley). The app functionality is helpful, although I don't find myself using it often as it tends to unpair often. I'd love to find a portable charger for it as sometimes I need a boost when I'm not driving/near an outlet. Additionally if you have even remotely greasy hands, you'll have to clean this a lot with the matte finish. Pros: Never burn your mouth again Notifications when beverage is ready Tea timer in app is fun Cons: Matte finish leaves fingerprints Hard to charge on the go (if you do not have a car outlet) Overall: Worth the money, especially for tea drinkers or all day coffee folk.

I got this as a gift for my wife. It's the kind of thing that is very convenient and nice to have but is so expensive, that it basically feels out of the question. Why get a $200 travel mug, when a $20 can hold the coffee hot all day. However, on sale at $50 off, it makes a nice gift. One that she uses everyday. The benefit of the Ember mug is that it doesn't just keep your beverage hot, but maintains your ideal temperature for a couple of hours. It's not a good heat insulator and will cool down fairly quickly to reduce the scaling liquids to a drinkable temperature. My wife likes to drink a normal mug of coffee at home in the morning, then make a second cup into this mug and leave it off. Then in the early afternoon, when she wants her next coffee and it's cold in the travel mug, she will turn on the travel mug. This zaps the battery in like 30-60 minutes but she ends up with a nice hot coffee that she can enjoy. Also works great on road trips. When she maintains the temperature on a hot beverage, it lasts about 2-3 hours. It's just hard to get over such an expensive travel mug for what it does, but it is a nice quality of life improvement. Only get it on sale.

This is a really cool looking device. The temperature is clearly legible through the transparent outer layer and changing the temperature is a breeze. I also like the app's ease of use and quick setup. I do not like the lid s opening/closing mechanism as the beverage you're drinking sometimes splatters out of the opening. The battery life is highly dependent on how hot you'd like your beverage to remain. I also found that the mug doesn't do a good job of insulating your beverage when the battery has run out. Then there's the disappointment of the manufacturer not including a car charger in the box. It's a really cool gadget but at $200 the positives don't outweigh the negatives.

So far so good. Holds just the right amount (strange because my 14oz Ember Mug2 BARELY held what I needed it to. The instructions on how to pair were...wrong. But once I figured it out, kept my drink piping hot for 3 hours. Would like a longer battery life but generally happy. Wouldn't pay $200 (full price). Returned it to BB because I found an even better price elsewhere. I love the soft touch.

Red color looks cool. I had the black one which is still functional except the charger that keeps going bad. Ember has replaced that once, and I feel inhibition to keep asking them for replacement, now that my warranty is also over. I don't like the lid that came with this mug though. Prefer the open lid than closed one. It spilled on my shirt when I tried to sip.

Works as descibes; keeps liquids hot and at the right temperature. Battery only lasts 30 minutes or so. Not for the slow drinkers. Need to keep it on the charger. Love the app/Bluetooth capability. 4/5 stars.

Awesome. We camp a lot and travel a ton. This has been my sweet guilty pleasure. I can keep my coffee hot at all times and even reheat it if I’ve gotten busy. Best Mother’s Day gift

My wife has a hybrid work schedule: 40% at home 60% in office. I got her both a 14oz mug and the travel mug. The travel mug works flawlessly in the 2-3 months we've had it. And the travel mug has touch-senesitive contols on its body so you don't have to download the app to use and adjust it. The 14oz mug, meanwhile, can only be controlled through the app (other than its power button on the bottom) and is great when it works, but for some reason has to be re-paired upon each use with the app and can at times take up to 2-3 minutes of troubleshooting before it reconnects to the phone app, (e.g. putting it into pairing mode one or a few times before it connects, or sometimes even requiring a factory reset before it pairs with the app.) Both the travel and regular mug versions are unnecesaey luxuries, but boy, do they serve their purpose and make you feel like you have a luxury product (especially the travel mug, but the regular mug too when it works.) For reference, both my wife and i have recent Samsung Galaxy S-series Android phones, so you may or may not have have the same experiences with these products and your phones connecting as we did if you use different devices with the Ember app.
