If you liked the movie Fargo, chances are you will enjoy seasons 1,2, and 3 of Fargo. This review is specifically for season 2. We had already watched season 2 when it came out , but we wanted to watch it again and it was just as good as the first time, maybe even better as there were no commercial interruptions.

Not as much violence as the first two seasons (granted, there is a good amount of violence), but this is much more of a psychological thriller. Some may have not enjoyed the finale, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Even into its third season Fargo remains one of the best shows on TV that I can't recommend enough. Bummed this season was only released on dvd though, would love to have it on Blu-Ray

I have really enjoyed seasons 1 & 2 of this series and season 3 was very good too, just not quite up to the level of the first two. I like the addition of Ewan MacGregor to the cast.

I though there was a significant dip to the show in season 2 compared to season one. Season is much better. Looked good for a DVD.

reality tv at its best. perhaps not as satisfying as earlier renditions but still some highly watchable drama.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ewan McGregor (in a dual role as ends-of-the-prosperity spectrum brothers) shine in this 3rd season of Fargo. David Thewlis as the heavy, V. M. Varga, is toothfully terrifying. Carrie Coon as Gloria Burgle the temporary chief of little Eden Valley also delivers a nice performance. The conflict between the two Stussy brothers (Emmit and Ray) drives the plot with considerable help from Winstead (playing Ray's girlfriend, the bridge player Nikki Swango). Murder, mayhem, and hijinks abound in this Noah Hawley production. And, as with the movie and prior seasons, the frozen Minnesota winter provides the icy environment. While perhaps not quite as good as seasons 1 and 2, Fargo Season is still better than almost every scripted series today...

Some reviews on a well known site roast this season but you know what, it is not that bad. I agree it did not grab me right off the bat like seasons 1 and 2 did. In fact it was not until about half way through the season 3 that I even started liking it. Suddenly it grabbed me and held on until the end. I don't want to cite details of the season or spoilers but if you like the movie Fargo and/or seasons 1 and/or 2 there is a good chance you will like this. But you might not. :) Worth a shot for those Fargo forgers...

Fargo takes its inspiration from the Coen Bros. film of the same name, but becomes its own animal under the capable hands for showrunner Noah Hawley. Season 3 features a wonderful cast including the great Carrie Coon, Ewan McGregor, and David Thewlis. Although the show streams on Hulu, I wanted to support it further by shelling out $$ for this physical release at modest cost. A must-see!

I have the other two seasons on Blu-ray, and I just wanted to say that this is a great series that needed to be treated equally as great on a hi-def release all the way through. Why Fox and FX have gone the route of just standard DVD releases is mind boggling, but if you REALLY want to watch this season again, DVD is better than waiting for reruns. Recommended for diehard fans, but skip if you want to show Fox that integrity matters.

Only problem i had with this season was dvd quality. In an age where film media is already moving on to 4k why is a major tv series released on dvd? Still an awesome series if you were ever a fan of the original fargo movie. You do get used to dvd quality after awhile even with those horredous dvd subtitle fonts.

Fargo has yet to let me down and third season was no exception. I am a huge Ewen McGregor fan, he plays the role of twins on the show. David Thewils plays a great role as squirrely villian. I enjoy how each season is a stand alone story. So you don't have to feel the need to watch the first two seasons. But they to are very good as weel

If you're a fan of the movie or previous seasons, you'll probably enjoy season 3. There are similarities and differences among the seasons, and are independent, so you can watch in any order. If I was pressed to rank the seasons, I would pick season 2, then 1 and 3. IMHO, season 2 is a masterpiece.

The Coen brothers have always been masters of understatement and this series is no exception to that rule. We fell in love with the central character as she struggles to get justice for the death of her relative who was murdered by mistake, terrific story, writing and acting.

I loved all three Fargo stories but this one by far is my favorite. The reason is Ewan McGragor. Absolutely spellbinding in this dual role. They should do like American Horror Show and use the cast over and over in different settings.

Once again, the folks behind the Fargo series has created a really fun and engrossing story with fascinating characters and intriguing plot (and sub-plots).. Well worth the investment in the DVDs of all three series entries.

I like this as much as the first 2 seasons. Great acting and has the familiar Fargo theme. I am a fan a the Fargo universe. My only complaint, why is it not available in Blu-Ray? Only DVD!
