Nice old-school film starring Drew Barrymore and a Stephen King novel adaptation comes with a digital copy of the film

Randomly popped up at my local Best Buy and saw it as a good opportunity to watch the film for the first time. Great release!

I bought the new version of fire starter, so I figured I would order the original as well

Firestarter is an enjoyable but not quite distinguished Stephen King adaptation. The soundtrack by Tangerine Dream stands out the most in the movie but in a crowded field with many great films based on Stephen King's books, this is just middle of the pack. The presentation from Shout Factory is quite good however. Fans of the movie will want to check out this version.

Enjoyed the movie, it's not one of King's best adaptations, but is entertaining, has some pretty good features including a commentary. Find it on sale though!

Scream Factory always does interesting or fun things with their re-release cover art but this is easily one of my favorites! They have a style, for sure, but some of them outshine the others and this is one excellent example! Packaging is what sets home video releases apart these days, that and the special features, and this release does not disappoint on either front.

I have to admit that some of Stephen King's books have not translated well to the big screen or tv, but this is a true exception. I loved this movie as a child and love it all over again as an adult. Drew Barrymore is an adorable and believable little actress in the starring role. David Keith is quite compelling as the father desperate to keep his daughter safe. I'll watch this one time and time again.

Despite some problems, Firestarter is an above-average fantastical thriller, buoyed by the performances of Barrymore, Scott, and Sheen. The film is also worth experiencing to hear Tangerine Dream's ethereal music in tandem with some memorable scenes. Shout! delivers a top-notch transfer and some excellent supplements. Fans of the cast and King should definitely pick this up. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

All I can say is it is about time that they finally release a good copy of this movie on Blu-ray. This was kind of hokey when it first came out, but over time, it has aged well, and its a hoot to see George C Scott play a villain. I recommend popping some corn, get the soda out and start this movie, you will fully enjoy it!

I used to watch this movie a lot when it was on HBO in the 80s! Now I have a digital copy to watch whenever! This has always been one of my favorites as they had to come up with the special effects without computers and did a fairly convincing job. The acting is great as well!

I love this movie. Drew Barrymore was so good in this movie. She was on fire, this movie was on fire. Its an awesome classic movie for anyone who like horror movies.

I am happy with the price and quality of this product. I enjoyed watching the content, but opinions on that are for each person to decide for themselves.

Firestarter, Is an Excellent movie. They could have made another one to find out how the little girl maintain her secret without anyone from the agency looking for her.

While the remake is actually pretty good. Nothing like the original from the great performances. And fantasic direction by Lester.

any title that the shour factory re releases is awesome...love the extras and the pitcure quailty is great.This is a great addittion to my movie library

always amazing to see Drew Barrymore as a child and believe it or not she was a good little actress . The plot is interesting and well made for its time . Film transfer is excellent . My kids enjoyed it as kids ! No bad language or offensive material

Who doesn't love a classic movie and I'm a big fan of Stephen King books especially but the movies are always pretty good to.

The original Firestarter was a classic if you are going to get the remake you should have the original
