Amazing cooktop! I replaced a KitchenAid cooktop that cooked well but had broken grates. I can’t believe how much better this cooktop performs! Same pans, better performance! In the first week it’s made stirfrys, simmered sauces, sautéed, and boiled to perfection! It didn’t come with a griddle, so used my well seasoned one and it performed so well. I was a bit worried about the the duel burners and if the change from the hotter temperatures to the lower would be clunky, but it transitions effortlessly as I change the knob. I was also worried that having a high BTU rating on all the burners would be too much, but they are all very responsive to the set temperature. The burners being offset under the grids is brilliant because all burners ca accommodate a large pan simultaneously. This cooktop is even better for resting large hot sheets from the oven since the meta knobs are on the side and not in the center. No more melted plastic knobs. The Halo feature is wonderful! It’s so easy to accidentally leave a burner on when cooking with a low simmer. Any burner on glows red and the others glow blue. When all are off none glow. Cleaning has been easy. So glad i decided on this model!

The two stage burner is great. It takes a little getting used to. I would recommend this cooktop

The cooktop itself is very powerful, well laid out. The halo is a great feature. The quality however is poor and Fisher Paykel customer service even poorer. The ignition on one of the burners stopped working after less than 3 years. Called customer service and they quoted me $155+ tax for service call and parts and labor on top of that. I had a GE profile, not as nifty as this one prior and the ignition lasted a solid 12 years before starting to give trouble
