Flashpoint - 10' C (Century) Light Stand on Turtle Base Kit Of 3

Under the esteemed legacy of the C Stand tradition, the Flashpoint 10' Century C Stand Kit emerges as a robust and reliable support system for both cinema and still studio environments. This kit is meticulously designed to offer secure mounting for lights and modifiers, ensuring that your lighting setup remains steadfast throughout your creative process.Crafted with precision, the kit boasts a two-tier, spring-loaded riser column that extends to a full 10 feet, topped with a versatile baby pin. The column's height is easily adjustable, providing flexibility to accommodate various lighting scenarios. The removable turtle base is engineered with a self-locking feature, ensuring stability and ease of use. Its legs can be set to a predetermined lock position for swift setup and fold flat for streamlined storage and transportation. The innovative 'Turtle Base' is strategically designed to maintain a low center of gravity, allowing for secure placement of off-axis gear without the risk of tipping, particularly when counterbalanced with sandbags. The staggered, curved leg design not only enables C Stands to be nested for space efficiency but also allows the lower leg to slide under furniture and other obstacles, offering unparalleled positioning flexibility.Included in the kit is a 40" extension boom arm, which seamlessly integrates into the two included aluminum 3.0" grip heads. These grip heads are instrumental in precisely positioning light modifiers, arms, scrims, flags, gobos, or smaller lights. The 5/8" diameter arm, coupled with the Grip/Gobo/KnuckleHead assembly, can be utilized as a short boom, proving indispensable for intricate set designs, from supporting reflectors to delicately holding small props. The robust cast aluminum grip heads feature interlocking surfaces, ensuring a secure hold when accessories are mounted on the steel arm. The arm itself offers four different diameter channels (3/4", 5/8", 3/8", and 1/8") to accommodate a variety of rods and studs. The jaws of the grip head can open up to 1-1/8", providing a firm grip on a diverse range of items. The pivot disks are grooved and rotate around the central tightening handle, maintaining a steadfast position. The historical significance of the 'Century Stand' name is rooted in early motion picture production, where natural sunlight was the primary light source. These stands were originally crafted to support large reflectors, aptly named for the popular 100-inch size. While the design has evolved to offer adjustability and swivel capabilities, the C Stand's ability to nest remains a testament to its time-honored design.Today, the Flashpoint 10' Century C Stand Kit stands as an indispensable component in a photographer's or filmmaker's toolkit, combining the durability, versatility, and high-quality construction necessary to meet the demands of modern image-making. Whether you're capturing stills or filming, this C Stand kit is engineered to elevate your lighting setup to professional standards.
