Let the Flashpoint 10' Century C Stand Kit elevate your studio setup with its robust and reliable design, a true testament to the revered tradition of C Stands in both cinema and still photography environments. This comprehensive kit includes a 10-foot, two-tier spring-loaded riser column with a baby pin on top, a detachable turtle base with self-locking legs, two precision-crafted aluminum 3.0" grip heads, and a versatile 40" extension boom arm.Crafted from durable steel with a sleek chrome finish, the stand is engineered for stability and longevity, boasting a load capacity of up to 30.1 to 31 lbs. The turtle base features a unique sure-locking mechanism exclusive to the C Stand series, ensuring each leg is firmly set in a preset lock position for swift setup and secure support. The legs can be independently positioned at any angle, offering flexibility beyond the fixed stance of traditional stands, and when not in use, they fold flat for efficient storage and transport. The 'Turtle Base' is designed to provide an exceptionally low center of gravity, allowing for stable support of off-axis gear without the risk of tipping, especially when counterbalanced with sandbags. The staggered, curved leg design not only allows for nesting multiple C Stands in close proximity but also enables the lower leg to slide under furniture and other obstacles for versatile placement. The kit's 40" extension gobo rod arm seamlessly integrates into the aluminum grip heads, enabling precise positioning of light modifiers, scrims, flags, gobos, or smaller lights. The 5/8" diameter arm, coupled with the Grip/Gobo/KnuckleHead assembly, can function as a short boom, proving invaluable on set for supporting a wide array of items from reflectors to intricate props. The cast aluminum grip heads feature interlocking surfaces that maintain a secure hold when supporting accessories on the steel arm, which offers four different diameter channels (3/4", 5/8", 3/8", and 1/8"). The jaws of the grip heads open up to 1-1/8", accommodating rods, dowels, and studs with ease. The pivot disks are designed to friction hold firmly around the center tightening handle, ensuring your setup remains steadfast. When mounted atop light stands, the C Stand connects via a 5/8" baby pin receiver hole, with two placement options for the tightening grip handle to optimize the use of shorter studs or the included 5.5" longer baby pin ends. The Flashpoint 10' Century C Stand Kit is not just a piece of equipment; it's a legacy of the film industry's ingenuity, born from the necessity to harness natural sunlight with century-sized reflectors. Today, it stands as an indispensable tool in the arsenal of photographers and filmmakers, embodying the spirit of innovation and the pursuit of perfect lighting.
