Macro bellows are great accessories for macro photography. The geared lens board allows very precise movement for very accurate focusing. The bellows has a locking screw to ensure it does not slip when pointed up or down. Just about any camera can be used with the bellows with an appropriate adapter. The bellows can be mounted on a copy stand, tripod, light stand or any accessory that accepts a ¼" tripod screw.
Macro bellows are a great accessory for close-up, macro, stereographic and slide/negative photography. Due to its compact size and light weight, it can be used outdoors for great nature close-up photography. Use the smallest aperture to give you adequate depth-of-field for better quality images. Magnification also magnifies camera shake as well as the subject, tripod use is recommended.
Because no optical components are added into macro bellows, the image preserves the original optical properties of the lens. Macro bellows increase the lens-to-sensor distance, allowing for closer focusing than what is normally allowed by the lens itself. The farther the lens is from the camera, the greater the magnification ratio up to 8:1 (3:1 with 50mm Lens).
Fotodiox macro extension tubes are made of premium grade aluminum. This is an affordable and simple way to turn your existing lenses into an inexpensive macro lens. It will take some experimentation with various lens lengths to come to a agreeable magnification and focusing range for your setup.
Fotodiox adapters feature all-metal, no plastic construction to create a secure connection between your glass and camera that will not degrade over time, keeping the lens-camera connection secure with every use. This is a manual connection, so lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body (autofocus, AE metering, image stabilization, etc.) will be disrupted.
