Poulenc and Françaix are among the most important French composers of the 20th century. From a synthesis of the most diverse influences, Poulenc developed a style of his own, which Françaix took up and enriched with elements of popular music. The excellent musicians around the pianist Ulrich Koella present here a colorful palette of sound colors and moods.
