Since it can be either frig or freezer, what does it revert to if the power goes off and then back on.
Hi there, Ronl! For the Frigidaire 18 Cu. Ft. Garage Ready Convertible Upright Freezer/Refrigerator (FFUE1826AW), Frigidaire states that it can be switched between freezer and refrigerator modes. Regarding a power outage: it reverts to refrigerator mode when power is restored. Frigidaire has specifically stated this behavior for its convertible freezer/refrigerator models: after the unit is reset or power is disconnected, it returns to refrigerator mode, rather than remembering the previous freezer setting. Answer: It will come back on in refrigerator mode after the power is restored. - Maico

How many of the shelves are moveable? What are the inside dimensions? What is the first year of production? Is this model manufactured discontinued?
Hello Mary! The Frigidaire FFUE1836AW owner’s manual and current product listings. Here’s the best-supported answer: - 4 shelves. The model has four glass shelves that are adjustable/removable. The manual specifically shows how to remove them: lift the shelf, then pull it straight out. - Frigidaire does not publish the exact interior height × width × depth in the owner’s manual. The manual gives the cabinet dimensions instead: 32.8" W × 65.0" H × 26.0" cabinet depth (660 mm), with overall depth about 29.3" (745 mm). - The earliest solid documentation I found is 2025. The model FFUE1836AW received its ENERGY STAR certification on November 26, 2025. This supports 2025 as the first documented production/model year, although the certification date alone cannot prove the exact first day production began. - No. As of August 2026, the FFUE1836AW is still being sold and listed as a current Frigidaire model. Lowe’s currently lists it, and retailers are showing it available for purchase. A couple of useful clarifications - The 17.6 cu. ft. capacity is the actual stated storage capacity, even though the product is marketed as an “18 Cu. Ft.” model. - For the exterior, Frigidaire's manual gives approximately 32 13/16" wide × 65" high × 29 5/16" deep. Some retailers list 30.5" overall depth, because they measure including the handle/other protruding components. Bottom line: 4 movable/adjustable shelves; exact interior dimensions are not specified by Frigidaire; the first documented model year is 2025; and the FFUE1836AW is not discontinued as of August 2026. - Maico
