  • Key Specs
    • Recommended Room Size: 250 square feet (The recommended area size in which the product is designed to operate and produce optimal results, such as the desired heating or cooling. Generally, running a unit too big or too small for the space will result in ineffective operation and wasted energy.)
    • BTU Cooling Rating: 6000 british thermal units (The amount of BTUs (British Thermal Units) per hour the unit uses to cool the air, also known as cooling capacity. For best results, the capacity of the unit should be based on the size of the area it is intended to cool. For example, a 5,000 BTU capacity works optimally for a 150 square foot room. In general, an oversized unit will not effectively remove humidity, and an undersized unit will not cool the space efficiently.)
    • Number of Cool Settings: 3
    • Number of Fan Speeds: 3
    • Airflow Rate: 145 cubic feet per minute
    • Remote Control: true
    • Integrated Heater: false
    • Sleep Mode: true (Enabling this mode sets the unit to first reach the desired temperature, then gradually increase the temperature over a period of time until it reaches a new set temperature, typically several degrees higher than the initial cool setting. This mode helps save energy while keeping the room comfortable.)
    • Timer: true
    • Auto Shut-Off: false (Feature automatically turns off the product.)
    • Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER): 12.1 (The standard used to measure energy efficiency in window and room air conditioners by the Department of Energy (DOE) as of June of 2014. CEER measures the ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) in standby mode and while the unit is operating. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • App Compatible: false (The product can be connected to a program or software application on a mobile device, which then receives collected data from the product.)

Q: What is the location/process to remove and clean filter?

A: The front panel will open by pulling on the sides near mid height. the screen will then lift out to be washed by hand with dish soap in cold water . The job should take less than ten minutes total.

Q: what is this air conditioners DB level

A: My cell phone app says 17 at three feet. I would say a very soft whisper. Makes me so happy ; compared to my older machines.

Q: How do I secure the ac to the sides of the opening?

A: Instruction manual is clear. AC is held in place by lowering the Window Sash down to and in back of the AC metal frame. You need to use the supplied screws to mount the AC frame to the window itself, and also to mount a safety bracket up higher on the window frame. There are expandable side curtains (plastic) that are adjusted to fill in the right and left sides to your specific window width (they are all a bit different). Those are also secured with screws to keep them in place.
