Refrain from purchasing Frigidaire products. Since purchasing a new Frigidaire Gas range from Best Buy at the beginning of this year, I have encountered issues with the oven igniter. Frigidaire replaced the igniter, but I now have a gas smell emanating from it. I contacted Frigidaire’s “customer service” and opened a ticket for a technician inspection. Yota Home Service arrived and, within five minutes, assured me that everything was in order. However, the gas smell persists. I contacted Yota Home Service again regarding the lingering gas smell, and the “customer service representative” abruptly ended the call. I subsequently contacted Frigidaire’s “customer service” and was asked to seek a second opinion from another home service. At this point, I requested a supervisor. I have expressed my disappointment and discomfort with this dangerous situation.

The sides of the stove are heavily scaled and damaged, which significantly affects both its appearance and quality. Based on the condition of the product, it appears that this damage did not occur during transportation, but rather that the stove left the factory in this state. The scaling on the sides looks like a manufacturing defect, as it is uniform and present in several areas. Unfortunately, this is not the condition I expected when purchasing a new product. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue, either through a replacement, repair, or refund.

Absolutely not worth it. Don’t put yourself through this nightmare. The top burners seemed to work fine, but the moment we tried using the oven, the entire home smelled like gas. We hoped it was just the usual ‘new appliance’ burn-off, but the smell only got stronger and more alarming so we turned off the oven. After giving it a few days we tried again, we were hit with the same overpowering gas odor. We had no choice but to call the gas company, and they confirmed what we suspected—a leak. The oven was releasing dangerous levels of gas due to incomplete combustion so they red tagged it labeling it a hazardous appliance. Extremely unsafe to have in our home. This was a huge inconvenience, a safety risk, and completely unacceptable for a brand new item. Spare yourself the frustration and danger—look elsewhere.

We bought this stove with high hopes, but unfortunately it turned into a really stressful situation. The oven kept releasing a strong gas smell every time we used it, to the point where the whole house smelled like gas within minutes. The stovetop burners looked normal, but the moment the oven turned on, the smell started — and that is not something you want to mess around with. We ended up having to stop using it completely for safety reasons. Best Buy scheduled a pickup for the return, but now we’re without a stove for a few days because of the malfunction. I’m grateful this happened while we were home and noticed the smell quickly. I just wish the stove had worked as expected, because this could have been dangerous. Definitely not the experience we hoped for.

This review is about Best Buy, not Frigidaire. I am a landlord, I own multiple houses, I have bought DOZENS of major appliances from BB over the years. NEVER AGAIN!! I bought this oven & scheduled the installation. BestBuy never showed up, did not even call or notify me, just a no-show. When I called, they said they do not do gas appliance installs. So I scheduled the installation with my boiler plumber, they just delivered it. I told BB it would be a few days til the install could happen, and I specifically asked them if they'd make an exception in their return policy (normally a mere 14 days) since this whole mess had been their fault in the first place. It took a 2+ hour phone call, but they finally agreed to do a 30-day return on this oven. So when this oven proved faulty just 3 weeks after delivery--there was an explosion and strong smell of gas--I called Best Buy to return it ... and they refused. They said they have a strict 14-day return policy. I reminded them that it was BB who stood me up on the install, and then they'd promised me an extended return window. The phone convo was recorded, I told them the exact date & time of the call for them to listen to the call & see I'd been lied to. No beans. They won't listen to the phone conversation & take back the faulty stove. Never mind that I've spent over $30,000 in appliances with them recently, BestBuy has zero concept of customer service. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!

I would not recommend this product. After only a couple of weeks we started to get a heavy gas smell on the initial startup of the oven. After 3 months and 3 visits from the company repair tech’s we decided to pay out of pocket another $500 to a private repair company in order to have the correct parts replaced. The warranty with frigidaire is worthless.

The electric code was too short to plug in a nearby outlet. The grills were not inside the top frame edges, so can easily burn user's hands and skins. I regret that I ordered it. It did not arrive on time for my pickup with no update on pickup schedules, etc., so my family had to waste time to figure out what to do next, complain, etc. I didn't start using it.

I cannot overstate how dangerous this range turned out to be. I purchased the Frigidaire 5.1 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Gas Range and had to return it twice for the exact same issue: the oven emits a strong, unmistakable smell of gas the moment it’s turned on. The stovetop burners worked normally and produced no odor, but the oven was an entirely different story. Each time I tried preheating, the smell of gas filled my kitchen within minutes. Turning the oven off made the smell disappear, turn it on again, and the odor immediately returned. Two units. Same hazard. That tells me this isn’t an isolated defect, but a serious issue with the product design or quality control. No appliance is worth putting your household at risk.

Don’t buy it , the brand new unit have make gas leak in oven, it almost burn my hair and expose the house , just pass 15 days and first use in oven and can’t return to Best Buy and warranty service is horrible from manufacturers and have token 3 days off to complement their schedule and still not able to fix it and still pending of new parts as delay and executed . They can’t replace the new unit to save all of people time and money, they claim that have to gone thought all of procedure to qualify to replacement , almost 3 months without the oven for holiday

When the oven pre-heats there’s a terrible, strong smell of propane. I’ve already had repair guys here once. Trying to get through to customer service is extremely difficult.

I bougth the geek squad plan for 99 dollars I had an issue with my stove and my plan was cancelled, I spoke with customer service promising to reinstate my plan and till this day my plan it’s still cancelled and no refund has been issued either
