Hello there, Gringosp17! The Frigidaire 8,000 BTU 350 Sq. Ft. Smart Window Air Conditioner, the manual specifies that the lowest set temperature is typically 60°F (about 16°C). However, there’s an important detail from Frigidaire’s operating behavior: - The thermostat control range is usually 60°F to 90°F (16°C to 32°C) - Even when set to 60°F, the unit may not cool the room below that point if: - The room is already at or near the limit of cooling capacity - The compressor cycles off once it reaches the sensed temperature at the unit’s sensor location (not necessarily the whole room) So in short: - Lowest selectable setting: ~60°F (16°C) - Practical real-world limit: often higher depending on room size, insulation, and heat load. - Maico

Hi crow, thank you for your question. No, the Frigidaire window air conditioner Model # FHWW084TE1 is a cooling-only unit and does not include a heating function. — Reed

Hi there, no. This model is designed for window installation only and should not be installed through a wall. According to the Frigidaire installation instructions, the unit is intended for installation in a double-hung or sliding window with the rear of the air conditioner extending outside so it can properly exhaust heat and drain condensation. The manual does not provide instructions or approval for through-the-wall installation, and using it in a wall could block airflow and affect performance or safety. If you need an air conditioner for a wall sleeve or through-the-wall installation, it's best to choose a model specifically designed and labeled for through-the-wall use. - Maico

Hi Betty, thank you for your question. Yes, you can absolutely operate the Frigidaire window air conditioner Model # FHWW084TE1 manually. You can control all of the unit's primary functions, including power, temperature, fan speed, and operating modes, directly from the control panel or with the included remote control. — Reed
