The largest 9-inch burner is typically used for high-heat cooking, while the smaller ones are suited for simmering and everyday cooking tasks, and the warming element is designed to keep food warm rather than cook. — Reed

We weren’t sure how we were going to like the knobs being in the front. Our old cooktop we had buttons on the side. The knobs do not interfere with the cooking at all and we actually have more width because of where the knobs are. We are enjoying cooking on this cooktop. We are happy with our purchase.
