Q: Does the dashcam 45 record audio?
A: Yes, the Dash Cam 45 has a microphone for recording audio. There is also a setting in the device's menu to turn audio recording on or off. -MH
A: The display is pre-set to turn off after a minute or so. The cam is still recording as long as the small red light is ON. There is an option in SETTINGS to keep the display ON all the time if you so desire.
Q: Is the mount on the camera removable? Is it a mount like on earlier versions?

A: Yes, this model includes a Display Timeout setting which will automatically dim the display of the device after a period of inactivity. The device will continue to record video even while the screen is dimmed (indicated by a red light), provided the microSD card remains in the device and the device remains powered on. A: Yes, it will not show in the display. But when you save the video the speed is overlayed.
