A: The echoMAP CHIRP 53cv has LakeVu HD, which is preloaded U.S lake data. Coastal data can be added with the purchase of BlueChart g3 HD which provided coastal detail. The echoMAP CHIRP 54cv would come pre-loaded with coastal data, but lack the LakeVu HD content. The LakeVu HD charts could also be purchases separately.
Q: What is the overall size of this unit. I am looking to replace a 430s. Will I need a new transducer?
A: It has a 5 inch display. As far as the transducer goes,one came with mine.Don't know if they are interchangeable.
