Q: What maps are preloaded? How detailed are they. Do they include forestry roads and trails?
A: It comes with 1 year of bird's eye view satellite maps. You can plug in pre-loaded cards for different locations and customize maps, which you can select by region. It comes with basemaps, 4000 waypoints/favorite locations, and 200 routes.
A: With an array of compatible mounts, Montana 610 is designed for use on ATVs, in boats, as a handheld or in your car. Use the auto mount with City Navigator® NT maps for spoken, turn-by-turn driving directions or the rugged mount for your motorcycle or ATV. Q: does this keep track no where your at and tell you how to get back
A: Yes...it is user friendly. It tracks automatically SIMPLE STUPID!
Q: What is used for? and whats the difference of the other models like Oregon or RINO?

Q: How long will the batteries last in this unit?
A: you can expect up to 16 hours (lithium-ion); up to 22 hours (AA batteries) and can also be dependent of factors such as use of the backlight
A: Yes and yes. I use the Garmin TOPO U.S. 24K Southwest map which covers 4 states (Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona).
