The professional desktop broadcast/podcast microphone boom stand by Gator Frameworks allows you to capture vocal recordings with zero fuss. The GFWMICBCBM4000 continues on from its proven predecessors with the addition of an LED light ring to inform the operator of a live mic, along with the inclusion of a fully removable 10’/3048mm XLR cable and dedicated cable management channel. Choose between three different color modes (red, blue or violet) and control brightness using the LED controller. The stand is fully adjustable for desired mic placements and will clamp or directly mount to surfaces up to 2.17”/55mm in thickness, including the ability to rotate a full 360-degrees. To reduce the potential for noisy interruptions during sound-sensitive recordings, the stand is engineered specifically to produce minimal sound when being moved. The spring-loaded articulating arm has a maximum weight capacity of 4.4 lbs./2 kg and can extend up to 32.25”/940mm, allowing it to support the load of extra heavy broadcast mics and large-diaphragm condensers, regardless of the length of extension. The GFWMICBCBM4000 comes equipped with a 3”/76mm extension adapter to further distance the mic from the boom end, giving you plenty of extra room to comfortably attach an XLR cable without having to bend or force cables.
Q: Does a microphone come with it?
A: No it doesn’t
Q: To whom it may concern: Will this work with a Shure microphone? Thank you
A: Works great for Shure SM7b
A: Only the base will swivel. All joints do not swivel, they will only bend in the direct the arm points. So make sure you MIC can swivel on its own and make sure if you use cable management path. To leave slack for bending cable as it will break copper cables if you dont. Happen to me once and leason learned.
Q: Does it go in circles cause I need it to be really flexible for my channel
A: Yes, but the weight of the arm itself counts against its own capacity which is very misleading. The mic in the photo shows the Shure SM7dB which is the mic I have. The arm falls. Very easily even. This is NOT a secure arm for this microphone. I recommend finding something that supports atleast 5.5 lbs or more.
A: No. You will need a way to come out of the mic. So if you don't have an interface or a mixer, then you will need to get one or an XLR to USB-C Phantom Power converter that will send the signal to your computer.
