My new GE refrigerator, Model: GFE26JEMTFDS in Black Slate was delivered yesterday and it is so beautiful and everything is working great. It is so big and roomy. It replaced a 2003 Kenmore refrigerator that was starting to die and I needed a new one. I love this color and never had an appliance look so great. In the pictures, it looks gray, but it is black, not a glossy black but a matte black. Fingerprints disappear. Cooling is excellent in the fridge and freezer. Water tastes great, ice is working already and stored out of the way. I took out one half shelf because I needed to put larger things under it. After I get used to it, I will figure out how to utilize the space better and put it back in. There are so many possibilities. Meat, vegetable and fruit drawers are huge but you can clearly see everything. I like the french doors versus side by side doors because I can store a pizza or longer items on the continuous shelf. I was concerned about the bottom freezer since I have spine issues, but it is great and easy to access. Now I have to fill it up with lots of food!!

I’ve only had it for a couple weeks but so far it’s amazing. The black slate is such a nice color and truly is print resistant. It’s super spacious and has really nice compartments.

So far I love the refrigerator and would recommend. So glad to get rid of my Samsung which I would never recommend. Very impressed with delivery crew. They were quick and efficient and everything was in working order and they cleaned up. Would never even know they were there.

So far, so good. The layout inside the fridge is very functional and good arrangement for a lot of space.

I really like the Black Slate color. GE is the only manufacturer I found that has this color. This refrigerator looks good inside and out. The LED lighting brightens up the inside. It’s a little bit noisy when running, but not loud.

Better than expected it is spacious and the color is great. Lots of room on the inside. Exceeded my expectations.

I like the inside of the refrigerator. It has small drawers on the left side which is great for holding extracts. However, the large drawer at the bottom seems convenient, but you have to open both French doors in order to access it. Also, the refrigerator is very loud. I don’t know if it’s the compressor coming on that makes it so loud, but if that’s the case, it comes on a lot, and the refrigerator’s hum is in the background more than I like. For this reason, I would not have bought the refrigerator if I had known how loud it would operate. Finally, the front of the refrigerator shows smudges and fingerprints much more than my previous stainless steel refrigerator did.

We bought this refrigerator to replace a small side by side refrigerator that came with our second home. We liked the smooth white look, the large size, the water dispenser, and the bottom freezer. However, the inside is a bit awkward with very narrow door shelves on the left and there isn’t a butter compartment. Not a deal breaker, but just odd.

maybe this is a Best Buy "thing" but I have never had a fridge delivered with the handles not installed and the doors not aligned. Apparently, this is something that I am supposed to do? I did not require installation just delivery, but surely one would not expect to align doors and install handles...stickers on the front indicated how to do so...just odd and annoying. That being said, I love the appearance of the refrigerator...nice color and very modern design.

The refrigerator is great! So spacious and beautiful. The only thing that I will need to get used to is the sounds. There is a hum on/off that sound like my cell phone vibration tone. I hope my attention to this diminishes over time as it's a bit annoying now.

This fridge is simply gorgeous, I love the Slate color. This is my first bottom fridge and I’m surprised how big it is. I finally can fit a large tray on a shelf. I would recommend this over the more expensive options.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, I have owned this for a year now, the space is amazing, fridge works GREAT, I love the doors, ONLY COMPLAINT is the small ice maker, but I knew that when I bought it.

Love love love this fridge! It’s so spacious but almost exactly the same measurements as our old one. I have 3 littles at home and fingerprints are a little bit of a pet peeve of mine. You can’t leave a fingerprint on this fridge if you tried!!! It’s gorgeous matte black makes me want to finish the rest of my kitchen now! If I had to choose one thing about it that bothers me, you have to hold your cup close to the top when putting in ice, or it will kick ice to the floor. Not the water, only the ice.
