Sorry for the 2 stars but I have had problem twice with my purchase, I bought an electric range and was defective, (upper light stays on after cooling) It was replaced for a new one and today 10/26/25 I had to call again to replace for the same situation. However the customer care was perfect, her name is Alma.I hope the next Range works better.

We're sorry to hear you’ve had a recurring issue with the light staying on. We’re confident the next replacement range will work well for you, and we’re always happy to assist if any further issues do arise. If in the future, everything has been turned off and the hot surface indicator light is still on after 45 minutes to an hour, please disconnect power to the range at your home's circuit breaker or fuse box. I rated it 2 stars just because it worked perfectly fine for the first 1 year, and please note this is the same amount as their manufacturer warranty. I always had positive feelings about GE but no more. The initial problem was the cooktop burners does not work on all levels. Today I got another issue, which seems far more problematic. It gave F200 error code some issues with the wiring to the control board or sensor. I checked the sensors and it is not it which now leads me to the control board and I have to spend $300 to fix it. Completly unacceptable. I will never buy another GE product. Very disappointed.

Love this item. We now have all the ovens we need in one. So simple to operate and clean!

The first stove had a broken light in the top oven. Best buy replaced it but my biggest issue is that just by cooking the top surface scratches very easily. It leaves marks on the surface that cannot be removed. Not good quality!

My first GE double oven glass top range we had for about 12 years with no issues, it was great. When we moved to a new home and bought brand appliances, GE was what we went with. Let me say this new oven (same model) has a defect GE will not correct. We have had the new unit for 3 years and the glass top has cracked and became unusable twice. Fortunately the first time it was under warranty, but the second time not so likely and GE said sorry not sorry about it. The replacement glass top is almost $1000 dollars. Both times the top cracked in the exact same place and both times we were heating only a pot of water for spaghetti. Nothing was dropped on the top and the glass was clean before using. The first time we had it replaced the service tech made it very clear that the quality of the product had degraded noticeably over the past few years and the glass tops were made thinner than the older models. Buyer beware.
