A: Hi Needlaundrydone - Thanks for considering GE! Yes, the smart washers and dryers will operate just fine without WiFi. WiFi connection is an option and not required. We'd love to have you in the family. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com. Sue
A: Since you bought it in July 2020, I'd contact manufacturer as soon as possible to initiate a fix as these kind of issues shouldn't be happening so soon after your purchase! I bought extended 5 year warranty with geek squad just because appliances these days aren't as durable as they used to be!
Q: Why my new dryer doesn’t heated up ??
A: Hi Merrily - Thanks for reaching out to us and for choosing GE! We are sorry to hear your new dryer is not heating and glad to help. Check the Temp setting. This model has a No Heat option. Also, the dryer should be on a separate 208V/240V electrical outlet. An electric dryer may run with a partial voltage of 110 volts, but it will not heat unless it has 208/240V, 30 amps. The circuit breaker could have partially tripped, even if it does not look as though it has. Turn off the breaker to the dryer and turn it back on to restore full power. Take a look at the following link - ELECTRIC DRYER RUNS, BUT DOES NOT HEAT: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16921 - We hope this is helpful. Keep in touch at GEAppliances.com for all your dryer needs. Sue
