This over-the-range convection microwave has been an excellent addition to my kitchen. The microwave works well. I am very pleased with the convection baking functions. The baking oven preheats a lot faster than my full-size oven, and has done an excellent job with the pizzas, pot pies and other foodstuffs I have cooked. The rapid preheating reduces my cooking time for small items that don't need the full-size oven. This was an excellent purchase for me. At the time, Best Buy had the item in-stock, when other retailers could not promise delivery for 2 months or more. Delivery and installation were on-time, as promised during purchase. Thank you.

I gave it a 4 stars rating because I’ve not used all the features yet but what I have used is what I expected since this is my second GE PROFILE microwave/convection oven.

Easy to install & use. I set up the Bluetooth connection with my oven to turn on the fan & light when a burner is turned on. The microwave works perfectly. Still haven’t tried to use the convection bake feature yet.

We bought this oven for our beach condo to save some space, no room for a full range. The design is beautiful and works really well. Exactly what we were looking for.

I dislike the fan noise. It is so loud on the convection and combination mode. I do like the microwave option but for microwave only it is too expensive.

We bought this as a replacement or an earlier model. The things we like about this microwave: the interior space, easy to clean and easiness to operate. The Best Buy service team installed it in under 20 minutes. The negative thing about this microwave is that the keypad is not back lit. The controls are not easy to see in low light. I need to turn on the main kitchen light in order to use the controls. This being said, I would not buy this model again. Abdallah weather, I like everything else about the microwave. Isn’t it interesting that when I said however, Siri said Abdullah weather.

We didn’t have room to add another oven to our kitchen so we opted for this model that is also a convection oven. Only complaint is to use it as a micro you have to take out the metal racks. Well if you have a small kitchen, where do you store them? Just keep that in mind when you buy it. I like the design and the features.

This is an upgrade from my last microwave - it has a lot more features such as a steam cleaning option. It's easy to care for and works well.

We wanted to share the fact that there was a minor confusion in the model number of the delivered product to the BestBuy and GE team. We ordered the GE microwave model number "PVM9179SKSS" from Bestbuy online portal. We got delivered the GE microwave model "PVM9179SK5SS". There is a subtle difference in the model number. The model number "PVM9179SKSS" has the description that interior of microwave is Enamel based on the Bestbuy website. The model number "PVM9179SK5SS" that got delivered to us has interior Stainless Steel. Also, we cannot search the model "PVM9179SK5SS" number online, as there are no results found for that. We wanted to know if the model "PVM9179SK5SS" is a stable model, and if there is any reasons that the model "PVM9179SK5SS" was not found in any public internet searches (like new, or discontinued, or recalled, etc) ? Appreciate you clarification.

Attractive design, simple to use - similar to a previous GE microwave that we replaced. One minor problem that we noticed after the installation: the door hangs low on the right-hand side. We called Best Buy and arranged for service to look at.

like the microwave. have had it a month. works well. heats and re-heats very well. the exhaust works so much better than the last on we had. I prefer a keypad to the dial this model uses. a keypad is faster and you can parse down the time. on this model you have to settle for 15 second increments.

The GE Microwave has been very good so far. The microwave is very easy to use, and pretty much self explaining. We haven't tried the convection part of it yet, but are planning to do so soon. One thing that should be thought of is if it is going to be mounted under a cabinet that it will need to have the filters that are above the microwave will need to be replaced about every year, and that will require extra work to get to them. Best Buy and their delivery group were awesome, and got the product to us fairly quickly despite the issues of supply and demand in this current economic climate.

This is a replacement of a previous GE profile that lasted 19 years and we used it a lot. Hope this one lasts as long. I had to call for an instruction booklet because it only came with a "quick guide". I want to get all the benefits of this product

Excellent convection / microwave. We replaced a ten year old Kitchen Aid. Excellent features, easy to use, easy installation. Can’t go wrong with GE! Highly recommend you give this a look!

Still very happy after 9 months of use. Convection option was new for us, and is very useful. Controls are easy to use and understand.

This nice GE Microwave has replaced our older Whirlpool model. We like the nice features that it has. We use it a lot and we love it! Very nice design and excellent features!

Great microwave loaded with features. It is more quite then I expected and has the convection oven option. Oh yeah, it also talks to the matching stove, I had no idea.

This is not my first microwave/convection oven. I do not like that the timer is in 15 second increments and that you have to press so many buttons to do basic things like defrost and cook. Unfortunately, I was very limited on brands because of the backsplash behind my stove. This would not have been my first choice but it works and the convection oven seems to work really well. Hopefully, it will last.

The controls require a great deal of pressure to activate them and are not at all intuitive. They are also difficult to see. A lighted panel would be a great improvement. We like the convection oven feature because it expands out abilities to cook/warm our meals.
