Bought a GE Profile microwave/convection oven on 9/25/15. I had my own installers since wall vent had to be moved and they arrived on 10/23/15. Upon uncrating microwave we found the door dented as well as inside the door the frame was bent in two places. I called Best Buy & they blew me off saying I had only 15 days to return something and sent me to GE who is going to send someone to analyze. I also bought an extended warranty. I asked for a printed copy in the store and they told me to go on the website and I could download one there. That is a confusing mess. No where could I find a "specific" description of my microwave extended warranty. Also - it does not say anything about the 15 day return policy on the receipt nor did anyone in the store tell me I had only 15 days to return anything.

I love this microwave. You can use as a microwave or a regular oven. Is stylish and definaty a statement piece for a contemporary kitchen. Very easy to install and use!

I really like the design of the microwave. It's my first experience with a convection microwave, but it's been wonderful to use. It was simple to install OTR. The only negative thing, that's actually not really negative but a preference, is that there is no keypad to enter cook times manually. You have to use the dial, which is kind of like dialing a zero on a rotary phone if you're cooking anything for long periods of time.

I did not get to look at the microwave at a Best Buy store so I was hesitant to purchase it, but the reviews were very good, so I thought I would try. I am so glad I did! The sensor in the microwave can tell just how much to reheat left overs so corn is not burnt to a crisp with the potatoes on the same plate remaining cold. The fan automatically goes on when you heat your food - so no need to hit another button for this function. There are other features but there are too many to write in here, so if you are searching for a better microwave, it is worth getting this one. One more item - I am so glad I had waited for the Geek Squad to have an appointment to install the microwave as the space was slightly different than the previous microwave I had. They did a great job, and were very professional. The only thing that did not come with the microwave was how to use it. It did have a quick start guide though, but that didn't help with everything that I wanted to learn. Fortunately, the document was on the GE site so I just read it on-line for the features that were new to me. Overall, a great purchase and installation decision.

The GE micro convection is so easy to use & it is always accurate whether using as a micro or using as an oven. It has wonderful features & is so attractive and easy cleanup. I love the fact that when entertaining I have another oven to use for side dishes & also during the week I don't have to use a big oven to cook a casserole dish. The convection fast bake has saved me many a times when I've been short on time & needed to cut baking time in order to accommodate my schedule for dinner. My girlfriend just remodeled her kitchen & on my recommendation also purchased the GE Profile & is delighted with it's performance....HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We had read from researching many reviews that some of these units would arrive with damage. True to the reviews our first unit arrived with hidden damage from the factory and Best Buy expedited a replacement and picked up the damaged unit quickly. The microwave has been great. It does not have an interface pad for entering time settings unless they are presets because it uses sophisticated sensors to detect moisture and heat from the item being cooked. So how does one enter specific cooking times? On the control panel is a dial which can be adjusted to rapidly select the time and temperature (if using convection oven or combo) even as the unit is cooking your food. Increments can be preset for temperature and time by the user in settings options. It takes about three or four uses to become accustomed to utilizing the dial rather than numerical buttons;however, it quickly becomes second nature and we prefer it over the numerical buttons. We have found this unit to be powerful, functional, and accurate in its cooking functions. The vent unit has three speeds and a bright light for illuminating the stove top. It also automatically turns on the fan if it detects any heat below it. This is an awesome convection microwave oven and well worth the price. Best Buy is great in taking care of issues when they arise. Buy it! You won't regret it.

My over the Range Microwave of 10+ years finally gave out. We needed a replacement in a hurry as we depend on it for a family of 5 3 meals a day. I thought I wanted white (the same as I had ) but the salesman showed me a Stainless steel which was also a Convection Oven as well. We took it home, popped it right in the old space and Voila ! Happy Family. The only drawback is the Surface light makes the inside of the oven very warm so don't store anything in there.

I purchased the over the range hanging microwave after a different GE Profile microwave model's touch smart board failed. GE maintenance came by the house to take a look at the old one in attempt to fix. However, the touch smart board dialing pad was completely fried after two short years of use. The cost to replace only the touch key smart board was $1400. So obviously, went to Best Buy to purchase a completely new microwave (for less than that one part) without the smart board touch dial keypad. This GE profile microwave does have some LED lighting smart board keys but not quite as many. The new one still has all the same cooking options and trays for inside the microwave. Had Best Buy installers come to install in kitchen so got the warranty on the installation if it falls and breaks or cracks the oven range. Nice microwave for a good price at Best Buy. Stainless steel which matches our other kitchen appliances and oven range below it. Has the under lighting and vent options. So far has worked without a hitch. Hopefully it will continue on.

This doubles as a convection oven and microwave, and it handles both jobs well. The convection oven feature can take a bit of time to heat up, but that's not surprising as it's 120V. One thing to keep in mind is while it comes with metal racks, unlike some other microwaves, you can not use them in the microwave setting; you can of course use them in the convection setting, but surprisingly, you can also use them in the "combo bake" feature, which utilizes both microwave and convection to cook food more quickly. The fan vents out and is very powerful at clearing a room of smoke.

I have had no issues with this microwave/convection oven. It did save me when my large oven went out and I was able to use the convection oven for those items I could not microwave. Two reasons why I did not give it 5 stars: The clock is is aggravating to set and you cannot set the time on the microwave for less than 15 seconds.

Very nice microwave and also doubles as another oven! This is great for entertaining during the holidays and dinner parties. Really like the Stainless Steel interior (we temporarily had another brand with a black interior and didn't like it, too dark). Very impressed with the convection and baking functions, this was a bonus when selecting this microwave.

Had a GE OTR microwave that gave us 16+ years. We were a little unsure of going with a combo convection/microwave, but no looking back. Love cooking with it. Doesn't heat up the house like a standard oven. Cooks everything much more evenly. Things crisp up much better. Baked goods seem to rise a bit more and we are still adjusting to a little shorter cook time. One hint: things that will rise need to be rotated about half way thru, or the lean a bit from the fan inside. Miss the keypad to put an exact time for reheating, since this has a dial and adjust in 15 second intervals. Minor to get used to. We really love it so far.

This is two thumbs up!! It works great, no problems at all, easy to install and has great extras, lite for stove, nite lite, fan...I mean this item is the CADILLAC of Microwave and Convection ovens combo

As described. Very functional. Convection oven is a great addition. Only complaint would be the mounting holes didn't line up with the ge profile this unit replaced.

When our 15 year old microwave died, I looked all over for a replacement. I read the reviews and really did my home work. I finally stayed on this GE micro/ convection . After installation which was pretty easy, we tried it out and wow what a difference it was. Cooks like a dream and has easy instructions. I give it an excellent.

Easy to use and love the large size. Haven't used the convection yet but I am sure it will work just as good.

Bought this as a replacement for a 20 yr old unit that came with the house. My wife and I did the install. If you take your time it will go in fine. Measure twice (at least). Make sure to read the instructions, especially where the exhaust fan is involved. The convection feature is worth the extra price.

We wanted to replace a microwave that we've had for twenty five years for an over the range style. It took us a while to find one that we really liked and are very pleased with this model. Having the convection oven feature is a real convenience!

This is the best product, you can bake and reheat items. The reheat is great, it has a smart sensor that will heat your food to the perfect temp, or you can use the microwave feature. Love it for smaller items that I bake, like cookies. You can cook two batches of cookies when using the convection method. Love this product :)
