A: The knobs are plastic and THEY MELT. Mine lasted only 4 months.

A: Exactly one inch from top of burner to bottom of grate. Grates remain hot for 2 to 4 minutes after turn off
Q: Can this cooktop be converted for use with propane? Does propane affect the power to the cooktop?
A: Hi betsy122, thanks for your questions! Yes, this model can be converted to use Liquid Propane (LP) rather than Natural Gas. The conversion kit comes with the unit. We'd recommend that this conversion be performed by a qualified gas professional. - As for the power of the cooktop, converting from Natural Gas to LP would not affect the BTU ratings.
