The microwave works... This is not an air fryer. I ignored some of the reviews that said this because I loved the idea of not having my counter space used up. I wish I hadn't. It is installed now so pretty much not an option to return.

While we’re glad you’re overall happy with the microwave, we know any issue with the Air Fry function must be concerning. Your feedback will be shared with our team. Air Fry should involve the use of the circular rack to allow hot air to reach all sides and create a crispy surface. We have more information on Air Fry in the manual, as well as troubleshooting tips on page 29; if you’d like to view the manual, you can do so on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you’re not able to resolve your concern and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 833-426-3393. A technician would be glad to examine the unit for any issues. -Sarah@GEAppliances <img src="https://s3.amazonaws.com/stratos-logos/logos/GE_Appliances.jpg" alt="GE_Appliances" title="GE_Appliances" style="display: block !important; margin-top: 2em !important; border: 1px solid #ccc !important; padding: 2px !important; background-color: white !important;" />

This GE Microwave has an output of 950 watts which is significantly below the 1100 watt general cooking requirements for pre-packaged meals. This requires guessing how much additional microwave time needed to make sure meals are fully cooked to reach internal temperature requirements. Meals are only partially cooked without adding additional time beyond what is recommended on various packages, such as Lean Cuisine. Twisting knob for setting cook time is awkward and sets at 15 second intervals, so cook time is unable to be customized.

Shows everything! Hard to keep clean! Scratches easily! Using new microfiber towels to help reduce the scratching, still looks bad!

This is my 3rd GE Microwave-Convection Oven and with one exception it performs as well as my previous purchases. However, whenever I use the baking or roasting features on this model it won't turn off until the oven cools down. I have to wait 10-15 minutes before I can microwave. I push cancel and it just continues to run.

After two years of use, I’ve encountered some significant issues. While the microwave worked well initially, the quality didn’t hold up over time. The handle started warping after regular use, and fingerprints are constantly visible, making it difficult to keep clean. If you cook a lot, be aware that this model seems to trap oil inside, particularly around the motherboard, which is a major flaw. Recently, the microwave stopped heating altogether. GE came out to diagnose the problem, but the repair cost was higher than the price of the microwave itself. It’s frustrating that appliances aren’t built to last anymore, and I wouldn’t recommend this model for those who use their microwave frequently.

It’s ok not powerful. Only 600 watts. Previously had a 1000 watts. But has a lot more features.

Only 800 Watts - takes longer time to heat/cook. (Wattage was not displayed, we had to look it up - unfortunately after wondering why things took so long). There are no express controls; you have to go through 3 steps to heat for 1 minute!

So far it performs like a standard microwave. (1) I tried the air fryer and was extremely disappointed. It took forever to cook the items and they didn’t crisp up enough for me. (2) I like to set the power level down to bout a 7 when reheating food but still can’t figure out how to do that. When I try the screen tells me I can’t for some reason. There’s an auto reheat function but it works off a small list of foods. (3). It does not come with a user Manuel and even the one on-line is not complete in my experience. I go to YOUTUBE a lot to figure out some things but that’s a hassle. (4). I haven’t tried the convection function yet so I can’t speak to that. (5) Personally I would prefer the good old fashion push buttons in lieu of the knob

One reason I bought this was for the air fryer. Not impressed with that part at all. Do like all the other options on it though.

First came with wobbly door and missplacement of inside hinge/brackets. Second burned the food in convection mode in the back right quadrant. Having a THIRD one delivered today. I had a previous model of this GE Profile convection oven for about 15 years. I have high hopes that this one will meet the expectation and be everything I am hoping for!

Be careful when installing the templates are not exactly to scale thus causing me to drill extra holes. UGH Quality control should be catching stuff like this.

Pros: really like the multi purpose features of the air fryer and oven Cons: items that normally take 1-2 min to heat up takes 2-3min or longer. The air fryer takes a lot longer than I expected. I’m still using my stove’s oven and broiler because it heats and toasts food a lot quicker. The touchpad dents and scratches very easily! It’s looks like I’ve had this microwave for years from all the marks in just 3 weeks. You would think someone would have come up with a scratch resistant touchpad by now. All in all, I still would have bought this one for the extra features but the scratches/dents makes me sad…every…single…day…
