Hi there, and thanks for reaching out with this great question – we appreciate your interest in the dishwasher! This model does feature indicator lights and sounds – a ‘Clean’ light, ‘Sanitized’ light, end-of-cycle signal, etc. The sounds can be muted if you wish, by pressing the Dry Boost pad 5 times within 5 seconds. Generally, the lights will be on if the dishwasher is operating; we regret any inconvenience that may cause. There is also a Sabbath mode to put the dishwasher to ‘sleep’ so the control display, sounds and interior lights won’t respond to the door opening and closing, if necessary. More information on the lights and sounds are available on page 9 of the manual, which can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. Hi 1dirtydog - Model GDT665SMNES has Active Flood Protect. This feature consist of a sensor that recognizes and prevents potential overflow situations from occurring. This sensor is located under the filter inside the tub, replacing the mechanical float. This type of protection would be extremely beneficial on new construction sites if supply lines have not been properly flushed. Our Fingerprint Resistant Stainless offers a clear coat that allows the shine of the stainless to show through. Some manufacturers use a matte coating, resulting in a dull finish. Our clear coat finish is designed with durability in mind, and makes cleaning easy. Unlike Traditional Stainless, Fingerprint Resistant Stainless does not require the use of special stainless cleaners. It is time remaining for delayed start of the dishwasher. Means dishwasher will start in 175 minutes if it shows 175. If you want to remove delay start, press Start button for 5-10 seconds till delay start goes away
