About This Item
(3-CD set) This 3 CD boxset delivers a living history of the French Polar expeditions by three major personalities from three different times of French scientific and cultural knowledge Paul-Emile Victor (recorded in 1962, speaking about his late 1930's travels), Robert Gessain (recorded in 1982) and Claude Lorius (recorded in 1982 and in 2006). These recordings were made by InchParoles, Images et sonsInch, who worked to help promote oral history. The questions are from children, and recorded in their classroom, to mix together history and easy-to-understand responses to questions by great scientists. In French. Album Tracks 1.
