Bring power, precision, and professional tone to your snare drum with the Gibraltar SC-3M1410SS 14-Inch 10-Lug Snare Side Hoop. This 3mm triple-flanged steel hoop combines the best features of two worlds: the musical openness of a traditional rim and the stability and control of a die-cast hoop. Made to fit the snare side (bottom) of standard 14-inch snare drums with 10 lugs, the SC-3M1410SS delivers consistent tuning, cleaner rimshots, and enhanced projection. Whether you’re recording in a studio, performing on stage, or rehearsing at home, this hoop helps you maintain clarity, focus, and balance in your snare sound. The heavier 3mm build adds presence and control without dulling your drum’s tone. It offers a more solid feel under your sticks, reduces unwanted overtones, and helps preserve the life of your drumsticks thanks to its rounded, low-profile edge. Ideal for drummers upgrading their snare, restoring vintage drums, or simply looking for a stronger hoop with improved dynamics, the Gibraltar SC-3M1410SS is a dependable, versatile solution for refined snare performance.
This hoop is custom-built to fit 14-inch snare drums with a 10-lug configuration, offering a secure and reliable fit for both modern drum kits and vintage snare models.
Constructed from 3mm chrome-plated steel, this snare-side hoop provides the rich tone of a triple-flanged design with the added weight and control of a die-cast-style rim.
Enjoy the open, musical character of triple-flanged hoops paired with tighter rim control and greater stick definition, ideal for players who want expressive dynamics with added focus.
Whether you’re restoring a retro snare drum or enhancing a new one, this hoop improves tone clarity, tuning consistency, and overall performance without compromising your drum’s character.
Designed to reduce unwanted overtones while maximizing snare projection and clarity, this hoop performs effortlessly in both recording environments and high-volume live settings.
