if the go pro hero 6 black is waterproof to 33 ft why do you need a super suit dive housing?
Answered by GoPro SupportThe Super Suit allows you to go up to 196ft! It also allows for dive filters for color correction at those depths.
I'm new to using GoPro, and I just got my first with the Hero 7 Silver. I know it says it's waterproof, but I don't want to risk anything. Can I use it underwater straight out of the package? Or do I need to buy a casing for it?
Answered by GoPro SupportYes, the HERO7 Silver is ready to go underwater down to as deep as 33 feet straight out of the package. Just make sure that the door is closed securely and stays closed while you're around the water. FYI that the Silver is not compatible with the Super Suit Dive Housing, but unless you're planning to go deeper than 33 feet with the GoPro, you won't need it anyway. Have fun with your GoPro!
Recently purchased a gopro 7 white on a spur of the moment as it was on sale and I was in store. Was sold a gopro 7 white and the super suit to take it scuba diving. I am now reading the super suit case only works on the black. Is this true?
Answered by GoPro SupportTo fit a HERO5, HERO6, or HERO7 into the Super Suit, the protective lens cover must come off. Since the lens cover on the HERO7 White and Silver is not removable, those models will not fit into the Super Suit.
