This was sold to me as refurbished, but looks more heavily used than the 8 year old trimmer I was replacing. It was also filthy. I can't believe an item in this condition and price point is being sold by Best Buy.

This grass trimmer works, and it is refurbished, so it does have cosmetic scratches and signs of use. My major complains is , it is missing a few parts like the hex , allen key , part of the handle bar and the the shoulder strap. I am ok without the hex and allen key , but the piece to attach the handle bar is not and the shoulder strap , it is not too heavy but without the handle bar and shoulder strap, after a while of use, you get tired and feels a little heavy, really better with them being available. I called customer service to ask if they can send the parts but no , only option is to bring it at the nearest bestbuy store. I want to keep it but might end up returning it, if I don't get atleast the handle bar part or the shoulder strap.

Extremely disappointed with the order. It says refurbished but its heavily used and really in bad shape. Besides, I am missing parts to attach the handle. Unfortunately, I was traveling and could only open just after return window was closed. DO NOT BUY

Product arrived missing several parts, including a screw and handle bracket. While battery shows that it's charged, string trimmer won't work. AI Chatbot is a joke and told me to call customer service. Have been holding for a representative for just about an hour now. Not worth the effort. This product will be returned. Will not be purchasing another Greenworks product and recommend you don't either.

Wacker arrived in box that was mangled. Though it said refurbished, the cutter head had dirt and grass on it, and heavily scuffed. Missing bracket for D handle and carrying strap. So more "used" than "refurbished"

First things first: This thing is a beast. It'll do the job for you and keep on going. Take the "pro" part seriously: it's a big step up in power from the household-level machines, and it will get away from you if you're not ready for it. Guards on Pro devices are minimal. You're expected to know what you're doing. If you want a more forgiving experience, there's plenty available that's not targeted to the pro market. That said... Performance: Great cutting and evenness through regular-length (up to 4") and light-density grasses on the 1 setting; great with 4-8" on the 2 setting. Dense, tall grasses take a bit of patience but it still cuts through it and is easy to keep from bogging down. Line feed is smooth and so far has been easy. 0.095" line lasts longer and cuts much more than thinner lines I've found on household-level tools. Guard helps to guide cutting swath, protect feet & shins, and trim cord when feeding. Its minimalist coverage makes the tool easy to maneuver into close quarters, but it's up to you to stay back from plants you don't want to cut. Motor volume is less than expected. I always wear ear protection anyway but seems almost unnecessary with this tool. 2-part shaft has a heavy-duty clamp that should hold forever. But there is a slight "bumping" at the joint when tapping the ground for a line-feed. Deflection over the tool's length is maybe 1/8". I can see full-time landscapers opting for tools with a one-piece shaft, but for keeping up just a few suburban home lots this'll hold up just fine. Balance is really good. A tool this long is easier on my back as there's less leaning and stretching. Gyro effect of the motor complements its stability on both speeds. Motor and battery seem to run cool, with plenty of venting. Charger fan is kinda loud to me (maybe 50dB), but that's reassuring, as it keeps the battery cool during charging. Charger's auto-shutoff turns off its fan, so when it's silent you know you're fully charged. Refurb vs new: Item is lightly but definitely used. All controls working ok. Harness clip is on shaft ok but harness belt is missing: not an issue for me, we wouldn't use the harness anyway. Packing box is plain cardboard but clearly from Greenworks, so yes it's "manufacturer packaging" but no it's not retail packaging. Tool and battery have heat-embossed initials "RC" on them; at first I thought "ok it came from a landscaping contractor" but now I think it's actually a "Refurbished Component" mark. This is typical of my experience with other Best Buy refurbished or "like-new open-box" products: each has been a little more scuffed and incomplete than I've expected. But each has performed well and last about as long as I've expected a new product to last. So I'll expect this to last the same as buying new would.

Powerful and easy to use. Easy to put together. The battery lasts a long time. Cleans edges nicely. Hopefully the battery will get many uses before it dies. I’ve had other weed wackers where the battery needed to be replaced often.

The box arrived in good condition, and no holes, so I can be certain nothing was lost or damaged in the shipping process. The item was very used, and dirty. It looked like someone used it for over a year and returned it, and Greenworks just packaged it back in without cleaning. It is also missing many parts, and no line was in the trimmer or in the box. When I called Greenworks about the missing screes and parts, they asked me to send photos as evidence. The process was extremely painful. It took over an hour so the support rep can look up the right parts. She also claimed that the condition of the tool was the responsible of Best Buy, even though the box clearly showed it came directly from Greenworks. At this point I need to wait 7 to 12 business days for them to ship me the missing parts, before I can safely use the tool. If it gets close to 30 day, I will just return it to Best Buy. I do not recommend buying any more refurbed items from Greenworks.

It's not as good if a deal as i thought, because the first picture says "attachment ready" but the model that was sent isn't. Kind of shady. But what they do send euros really well, though it's obviously used. Not sure how refurbished it is.
