[Employee of bestbuy] Before i get started on this review, the only reason i gave it 4 stars was because it didn't come with the instructions nor a cleaning clothe like most gunnar glasses products, with that being said, im leaving a picture to tell you the difference, on the left is the gunnar glasses with amber tint that blocks 100% blue light, on the right, the gunnar glasses with light yellow tint blocks out 65% blue light. There's a night and day difference, when i first wore the ones on the right for a few years, it was great, until a few months ago, i started getting just a tad bit eye strain but not too noticeable. I was still sleeping well here and there. Now the ones i just bought with the amber tint, i love those, even though it's a tad bit darker, i can game or scroll on my phone for long periods of time without any eye strain due to them blocking 100% blue light, and the sleep is outstanding. Both are good but it just depends on which one is your personal preference.

These glasses fit very well and do help with the eye strain and headaches some. They are very clear, no distortion of images or text.

I prefer these a lot better than the wire framed ones. They fit a bit snugly on my size 7 5/8 dome, but they work quite well. The contrast is a bit nice. They do provide some blue light filtering which is nice since I game primarily at night. Could probably be about $10 cheaper though.

These glasses worked well until they broke in half while wiping the lenses with the included cloth. They literally snapped in two equal pieces at the nose bridge. Super disappointed it was two weeks out of warranty!

I was a skeptic on if Gunnars worked. My first pair were these Onyx model Gunnars I bought from Best Buy. I was working a tech chat job, using horrible quality and horrible resolution screens. At the end of my 8 hour shift my eyes felt like they wanted to pop out of my head. I actually started noticing it was harder for me to see things at a distance, and I was losing my eye sight due to eye strain, or what it felt like. I finally decided in store after seeing these to give them a try. They were super light, really comfy and solid quality out of the box. Over a few years of use though the plastic around the lens broke. I glued it but, that only worked for so long. Gunnars helped save my eyesight. I purchased my second pair of Onyx model Gunnars (but the metal framed ones so I didn't have the frame break) and I will never go back. If you are a person who looks at a computer screen all day for work, or you are always playing video games, or always staring at screens. Do not wait, buy these. They will literally make a world of difference. I've sold a few of my fellow Computer Science classmates on them since coding all day takes a toll on your eye sight. My only quirk about the 4/5 stars is the plastic frame seemed to fail on it's own, I always took great care of them and never crushed them. They just broke one day when I put them on, but don't let that stop you from trying them out. You will never go back.

The quality of these glasses is great. The blue light reduction helps with eye strain for sure. The slight magnification was unexpected, but helps when staring at a screen. The magnification somewhat prevents you from wearing these away from a screen though as it feels weird walking around with them. Although, this is not a negative for the intended purpose of the glasses.

They take a little while to get used to earing, but they are comfortable. Build quality is very good. they definitely reduce eye strain, especially when you have to look at a computer screen all day. The frame is larger than it needs to be, but I understand that these are made to fit a wide range of faces. Would definitely recommend to anyone stuck behind a computer all day,

I have had these for a few months. I use these for extended periods of time on the computer and with gaming. The difference when wearing them is noticeable than without. Whether on a PC monitor, or laptop my eyes feel more comfortable when using the glasses. There is a noticeable change in view when removing them after prolonged usage. I have noticed in the past that there was slight discomfort (eye strain and sometimes slight headache) after long sessions of gaming especially. I haven't had that problem since trying these out. It has convinced me enough that I now rarely do any work on computer or game without slipping these on. The build quality is pretty good, I like the style as well. Seem to be a bit tougher to keep smudges away, but the included bag cleans them fairly well. I do find that once a week it is best to clean them with a monitor cleaner and wipe. Comfort level while wearing is excellent. I forget I have them on and wander around the house or office with them on at times. I will buy another pair soon for a slightly different style and so I don't have to carry with me between home and work.

Back story: I stare at 2 computer screens on most days for about 8 hours a day. I also like to unwind with some FPS (first person shooter)gaming on my 55" 4K. I have blue eyes and 20/20 vision. I suffer from chronic headaches and migraines. Point being my eyes are extremely sensitive to all light. My eyes are constantly strained and while wearing my expensive polarized sunglasses inside (which is not "cool") helps, it's not practical. After extensive research for glasses that would aid me in my working conditions, I found that Gunnar eyewear was my safest bet. Since my purchase I am fairly pleased with the product. I am not use to wearing these type of glasses and it takes a bit to get accustom to the lens but once your eyes have adjusted (takes seconds) they are very comfortable and I swear I can hear my eyes let out a sigh of relief every time I put them on. Taking them off after long hours of use takes an adjustment. Other than that I have had no problems. The additional warranty that best buy offers for them is amazing! $10 for the warranty and I have already dropped and scratched the lenses. I took them to my nearest Best Buy (not the one I purchased them at) and they replaced them right there with a brand new pair! I wish I had that warranty on my sunglasses!

It’s a good buy protects the blue light and does its job.

To be honest, I have no idea if these actually help with eye strain or headaches. I think they do, but it’s been really hard to identify a direct cause and effect situation. They definitely filter out the blue light well, and I think the screen images look sharper while wearing these. The fit is great though, and they’re comfortable to wear. So I suppose if they are helping with eye strain or headaches, I have no problem continuing to use them and believing they’re helping.

I had LASIK eye surgery back in september 2019 and I hardly did anything in front of the TV until the quarantine and at that point my eyes would burn and become red within an hour or two of using them for shows or games, so I bought these glasses (the ones I bought for an even larger price from EyeBuyDirect did nothing to protect my eyes from the strain and wear of blue light from my TV), they arrived quickly and they make my eyes feel like nothing is happening to them, the color does change but it makes sun in games feel like a summer sun, nothing bad in my opinion. They may look kinda bulky but you will appreciate the space it covers for that extra protection. If I could adjust the percentage of blue light reduction when buying them that would be my only problem keeping them from being a 5 star review.

The glasses did reduce my eye strain and improved the display quality of the screen. A little too big if you have a small face. I like the quality of the product.

Started a new job where I have to look at screens for 4-6 hours a day. These glasses have been awesome and help with the overhead flourescent lights of my office building as well. The amber tint makes the world a little less bleak haha. I now use them at home as well for late night gaming and movie watching. A little pricey, but a great product over all.

These are decent protection from blue light but the magnification is not always necessary. I bought them for my son but he doesn’t like the magnification in them or the yellowish color glass. It’s not the greatest brand in blue light glasses but it works. I like the Cyxus brand better and they are clear instead of bright yellow.

The picture can be deceiving. I assumed these glasses would look more amber or orange but it is actually darker and brown. My wife said it looks like sunglasses more than computer glasses. They are very refreshing to the eyes, but I'm debating rather or not to return them because of the darker tint.

Helpful in short stints as if you're staring at a screen for up to an hour. After that, any staring with any glasses for that long will cause minor strain. The bridge between lenses could be larger as well. Besides that ideal product when looking for blue light glasses.

I bought the glasses hoping they would improve my vision or at least stop my decline due to using a computer all day. I started to wear them and they worked just fine. I notice that they do distort long distance viewing, otherwise I'd wear them all of the time. Simply because they distort long distance vision I came to the conclusion that they probably aren't good for the eyes if you cannot use them no matter what situation. Why do I think this? Every pair of non prescription glasses do the same thing, they allow you to view through them without distorting close or distant object. Sunglasses being my primary example. These glasses however, distort images in the distance so I'd have to say they have some degree of visual alteration not just a color filter to help with computer viewing. I am not prepared to test this theory on whether or not this could be good or bad for me, so I just decided to stop wearing them. If you would like them, they are in great condition and I'd sell them for half price simply to get rid of them and get something back on it seeing as how I am out of my 90 day return. So why did I rate them a 4, which means "Good"? Because minus my analyzations on the potential to ruin my vision in the long run, they work quite well.

They're a little more expensive than I would have liked, but I was doing some marathon gaming sessions there for a bit and definitely noticing the eye fatigue. I definitely noticed the difference with these. Not sure I would recommend to someone who is on the fence about them though because they just sit in their case by my computer now that I am not marathon gaming so much any more. I rarely use them. If you're staring at computer screens for 10+ hours a day multiple days a week it's probably worth it.

RETURNED: When I first put them on and looked at the monitor I use for video games I thought it looked awesome, however I quickly realized the frames were too thick and were distracting when gaming (warzone). Unfortunately not something I was going to be getting used to so I returned them. Got the razer edition ($89.99) because they have thinner frames, but will be returning them too. The razer ones somehow feel flimsy and cheap and don't look as good, when looking through them. Also not very comfortable on my nose. These ones I am reviewing were perfect in terms of comfort and visual effects, just couldn't get past thick frames. I wanted to ignore the distracting frames, but couldn't. Maybe you can? IF so, you'll like them.
