Haida - NanoPro IR720 Infrared Filter, 67mm

Why choose the Haida NanoPro IR720 Infrared Filter for your photography needs? This specialized filter is expertly designed to enhance your ability to capture stunning images that reveal how subjects reflect or transmit infrared light. Infrared light waves, which have longer wavelengths than visible light, occupy a unique space in the electromagnetic spectrum. Many surfaces and materials interact with infrared light in ways that differ from their interactions with visible light, offering photographers the opportunity to capture images that reveal hidden properties and details invisible to the naked eye.To achieve these captivating images, an infrared-sensitive medium is required, such as infrared film or a digital photographic sensor. These sensors are often more effective when used without the infrared-blocking filters typically integrated into them. The Haida NanoPro IR720 Infrared Filter facilitates this process by blocking ultraviolet and visible light waves below 670nm, allowing only visible and infrared light at or above this threshold to pass through. This selective transmission ensures that 50% of infrared light at 720nm and up to 98-99% of infrared light at 950nm is captured, providing photographers with the ability to highlight the infrared spectrum in their work.Constructed from premium K9 High Quality Optical glass, the Haida NanoPro IR720 Filter is engineered for durability and performance. It features advanced anti-oil and anti-water coatings that minimize surface reflections, thereby enhancing contrast and clarity in your images. Additionally, the filter is equipped with hydrophobic coatings that improve water beading, making it easier to clean and maintain. Whether you're using conventional light sources like the sun, photographic strobes, or incandescent lighting, this filter ensures that the infrared effects are not overshadowed by the higher energy visible light, allowing you to explore the fascinating world of infrared photography with precision and ease.
