What is the best coffee to use in the 40 cup urn? How much coffee is used to make a full urn?
Answered by HamiltonBeachTeamThank you for your question. A full brew will take 2–2 1/2 cups of coffee.
I have a catering company. We are required to make large amounts of coffee (over 100 cups - sometimes twice that). Can we pre-bre coffee put in insulated containers unplug, take to venue, plug back in and keep it warm for several hours?
Answered by HamiltonBeachTeamThank you for your question. We would not recommend completing a pre-brew and traveling with the coffee. To reheat coffee, remove Coffee Basket and Stem Assembly. Lock Lid in place and plug in unit; then turn on for 20 to 60 minutes, depending on amount of coffee remaining. Do not reheat if less than 20 cups are left in the Urn.
