This is about the 4th percolator this size that I've had. Usually they last about a year. The last one lived a good two years until the spout broke. It was a Hamilton Beach, too. I just made my first pot of coffee. It is good and hot. The coffee tastes great. I could hear it percolating which is great for me. I leave my big pot on all the time for both us and friends. Usually the old ones started leaking. I guessed it was because grounds got caught in the spout. Now I use a paper towel to catch the grounds and clean thoroughly between pots.My old one broke where it rotates. I could have fixed it with a bolt, but this one was a good price. I use 5 scoops of grounds and the pot lasts us two or three days, depending on visitors. The pot is near the front door and beside where I store cups. As much as we drink coffee, this pot is cheaper than the drip ones and the pot stays hot.

Item arrived in pristine condition and on time. The basket reduces grounds at the bottom of the urn. The quality of coffee from first sip to last drop is perfect. It's easy to clean and easy to brew.
