Covina columnist Harold Teen's (Hal Le Roy) courtship of his longtime sweetheart, high school senior Lillums Lovewell (Rochelle Hudson), hits a snag thanks to his two left feet. Alienating her affections at a dance and facing competition from a newly arrived wealthy banker, Snatcher (Douglas Dumbrille), and temptation from Snatcher's sophisticated daughter, Mimi (Patricia Ellis), Harold signs up for a correspondence-school dance class.
