About This Item
The Heil PR77D Black Dynamic Microphone is a dynamic microphone designed for broadcast, podcasting, studio, and home recording applications, supporting vocal, speech, and music use in professional and desktop setups. It features a smooth, flat frequency response across a wide range to provide consistent audio reproduction, along with strong transient response and low intermodulation distortion to help maintain clarity in recording environments. Built with a 1-inch low-mass voice coil and a magnet structure using neodymium, iron, and boron, it supports stable audio performance in wired XLR microphone systems connected to audio interfaces, mixers, and preamps such as Focusrite Scarlett Solo, GoXLR, and Rodecaster. The microphone includes a two-position switch for Voice and Music modes, allowing users to select low-frequency roll-off at 120Hz for speech or full-range response from 60Hz to 16kHz for broader audio capture. A phasing plug assembly provides over -40 dB rear rejection to help reduce unwanted background noise while maintaining consistent front response as the user moves. Designed for use with microphone stands, boom arms, and desktop mounts, it features standard 5/8″–27 threading for compatibility with common recording setups and accessories including cables, shock mounts, windscreens, and isolation shields.
