Heliopan - 37mm Slim Mount, Wide Angle Circular Polarizer Filter, SH-PMC (16 Layer Super Hard Multi-Coated)

An innovative and high-quality addition to your photography gear, the 37mm Slim Mount, Wide Angle Circular Polarizer Filter, SH-PMC (16 Layer Super Hard Multi-Coated) is designed to enhance your image quality and expand your creative possibilities. This durable and versatile filter is color neutral, making it suitable for both black and white and color film photography.Unlike colored filters, which can alter the colors in your photographs, this circular polarizer filter maintains the integrity of your original colors while increasing contrast and color saturation. It works by reducing the blush gray haze caused by scattered sunlight passing through the atmosphere, thereby allowing the true colors of your scene to reach the film. The filter is especially effective when light falls at an angle of approximately 35½ onto reflective surfaces like water, glass, or plastic. By absorbing the reflected and polarized light, it makes water surfaces appear transparent and clouds more saturated, enhancing the overall visual appeal of your images. The 37mm Slim Mount, Wide Angle Circular Polarizer Filter is constructed with a neutral color foil cemented between two plane parallel glass discs, designed to allow light rays to pass in only one plane. It's mounted in a calibrated rotating ring for easy adjustment of the desired position and effect. With SLR cameras, you can see the result in the finder, while with viewfinder type cameras, you simply hold the polarizer in front of your eye and adjust it to achieve the desired effect. This filter is particularly beneficial for camera systems where the built-in light measuring system uses light that has passed through the mirror via a beam splitter. The circular polarizer has a second component, a 1/4 wave plate in its construction, which sets the polarized light in rotation and allows it to pass without interruption through the measuring system for accurate measurements. In addition, the 37mm Slim Mount, Wide Angle Circular Polarizer Filter is also recommended for use with auto focus lenses in video cameras. However, to ensure its longevity and optimal performance, it's advisable to avoid overheating the polarizing filter. In conclusion, the 37mm Slim Mount, Wide Angle Circular Polarizer Filter, SH-PMC (16 Layer Super Hard Multi-Coated) is an effective tool for photographers seeking to enhance their image quality and expand their creative possibilities.
