  • Key Specs
    • Recommended Room Size: 550 square feet (The recommended area size in which the product is designed to operate and produce optimal results, such as the desired heating or cooling. Generally, running a unit too big or too small for the space will result in ineffective operation and wasted energy.)
    • DOE SACC Cooling Power: 8050 british thermal units (The Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity (SACC), implemented by the Department of Energy (DOE) after 2017, is a rating of a portable AC unit's cooling power. This rating is based on revised testing that more accurately measures a portable unit's performance, taking into account that these units do not vent heat in the same way as wall or window units and therefore were not cooling as effectively as the previous BTU ratings indicated (based on the ASHRAE-128 standard prior to 2017). Generally, the new cooling power ratings are lower than previous BTU ratings and can more reasonably be compared to the cooling capacities of other types of AC units.)
    • ASHRAE Cooling Power: 12000 british thermal units (The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) rates the cooling power, or capacity, of portable AC units based on their effectiveness in cooling a single room as intended. Prior to 2017, this was the accepted standard used for comparison with other types of AC units. However, it did not accurately reflect the cooling power as it did not account for the heat emitted from the unit that would circulate back into the space. The Department of Energy (DOE) Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity (SACC) standard is now used to determine appropriate BTU ratings of portable AC units.)
    • Number of Cool Settings: 3
    • Number of Fan Speeds: 3
    • Airflow Rate: 235 cubic feet per minute
    • Remote Control: true
    • Integrated Heater: false
    • Sleep Mode: true (Enabling this mode sets the unit to first reach the desired temperature, then gradually increase the temperature over a period of time until it reaches a new set temperature, typically several degrees higher than the initial cool setting. This mode helps save energy while keeping the room comfortable.)
    • Timer: true
    • Auto Shut-Off: true (Feature automatically turns off the product.)
    • Window Venting Kit: true (Indicates whether supplies for venting the unit through a window are included.)
    • Energy Efficiency Ratio: 10 (The ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) at a given operating point. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER): 7.9 (The standard used to measure energy efficiency in window and room air conditioners by the Department of Energy (DOE) as of June of 2014. CEER measures the ratio of output BTUs (British Thermal Units) to input electrical energy (watts) in standby mode and while the unit is operating. Generally, the higher the number, the more efficient the unit. Though higher efficiency units are typically more expensive upfront, they may offset the price in energy costs over time.)
    • App Compatible: false (The product can be connected to a program or software application on a mobile device, which then receives collected data from the product.)
    • Wireless Connectivity: None, None, None, None (The manner in which a device sends data to another device over a short distance without the use of wires or cables.)
    • Air Conditioner Type: Portable
    • Hose Configuration: Single (Generally, dual hose configurations are more efficient and better suited for cooling larger areas. Single hose configurations typically consume less energy and are best for cooling smaller spaces.)

Q: do you have to drain it? is it fully self evaporative?

A: If you want to use it as an AC , you have to drain every 1-2 hours. As for Honeywell response to this, they suggest if you don't want to drain it , you can enjoy their dehumidifier function to self evaporate and sit in 90 degree hear with no AC enjoying their $600 dehumidifier as the AC function will have to be turned off to turn on to dehumidifier function.

Q: I got his out of our closet and it's immaculate. Clean, no water, nothing. Everything turns on and no cold air. I've done all the troubleshoot stuff. The coils are cold to the touch and the compressor is hot. So it's a one year and done product. Unreal!!

A: Some thing happened to me. I used it the first summer 2 summers and last year 2023 it didn't blow any cold air. I put it in storage and decided to give it another try this year. No cold. Just feels like the fan.

Q: If I have a drain in floor near by, is there a hose connection in which I could connect to and allow to drain as the unit runs?

A: Yes, come with small clear plastic drain pipe, should be able to get a longer one at hardware store,

Q: I bought this unit yesterday it has a weird smell coming out of it does the smell go away or what is it

A: Yes ...the entire unit is mostly new plastic components..that will dissipate in little time. Hope this helps

Q: I want to connect this to a inverter of 3000 watts would it work

A: Recommend higher wattage capacity (4500 etc..)

Q: My remote will not work.

A: Try raising the remote to get a clear signal to the top of the unit.

Q: How quiet is this ac.

A: It is more quiet than I was expecting. Specs says 50db. You can barely hear the compressor, you will more hear a fan running which is perfectly fine and pretty nice. We also have a GE unit 13500 BTU and GE makes more noise than Honeywell! i hope this helps.
