If placed directly onto a carpeted floor does it get the rug wet

We would advise getting a hygrometer to make sure the humidity in the room does not increase too much, and we would advise making sure there is plenty of circulation around the unit by making sure it is not near other furniture. Does this humidifier require filter?

Can all the lights be off or do some lights remain on at all times. I require a pitch black room to sleep.
Answered by LizStacyThe light that runs up the center to show the water level can be turned off. The small horizontal lights that show how strong you have the blower on, cannot. They are very small and can be covered with a piece dark tape, but I just covered them with a swipe of a black sharpie.

I'm needing a humidifier in my bedroom on the advise of my dermatologist . Is this one VERY quiet and would you give this a top rating? If there's a better humidifier.....one that is superior to this one please advise me.
Answered by RicPayAs I said in my review of this, my 83 year old mother-in-law came to visit. She was struggling with the dry air (it was very cold outside and therefore, dry in the house). She loved this humidifier and regretted it not fitting in her suitcase. When she got home, she missed our so badly, she called and asked where we got it and what model it was. Very quiet and works great. I'm in Maryland so we don't need it all the time. But on cold, dry nights, we use it when we sleep. Works great.
