A: Hello ! When the desired level of humidity is reached, the compressor will shut off. The fan will continue to run till up to 6 minutes for the machine to cool off. You can set up the unit for auto shut off, for the unit to shut down totally after a specified period of time. This unit is manufactured in Asia, but tested for strict US standards. A: The washable filter is only for the air it traps dust from going onto the coils. The machine will remind you to clean it periodically. There is no filter on the water tank the manual states that it is not potable water

Q: Does it have a pump and how long is the drainage tube?
A: No, I do not have it hooked up for the water to go outside. When the bucket fills up, I empty the dehumidifier.
