Hey, I recently got a bird. I want to know if this heater is bird safe. I have bought one and used it but I noticed it gave off this smell.

How does this heat? Heated Coils with a fan. Tip over shut off? I want to keep in basement to protect pipes in house extension. Would be unattended. Worried about fire hazard. Using a oil heated radiator at the moment. Would like to use a smaller unit

However, this unit is made for supplemental heating in a dry, indoor location. This is not made to heat pipes to keep them from freezing. Does this shut off when it gets to its desired temp and come back on when it goes below.
