Questions & Answers
Hey, I recently got a bird. I want to know if this heater is bird safe. I have bought one and used it but I noticed it gave off this smell.
Answered by ManufacturerTechSupportThat is a very important question. This heater uses a ceramic heating element, which is coated in PTFE, a Teflon-like substance. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com. Thank you.
How does this heat? Heated Coils with a fan. Tip over shut off? I want to keep in basement to protect pipes in house extension. Would be unattended. Worried about fire hazard. Using a oil heated radiator at the moment. Would like to use a smaller unit
Answered by ManufacturerTechSupportThank you for your inquiry. This heater uses a ceramic heating element and does have a tip over switch. However, this unit is made for supplemental heating in a dry, indoor location. This is not made to heat pipes to keep them from freezing. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com. Thank you.

Does this shut off when it gets to its desired temp and come back on when it goes below.
