This film was produced in 1962 and hosts a tremendous cast of outstanding actors back in the day. The film was re-mastered and pressed to Blu-ray DVD yielding superb picture quality. I forgot just how wonderful this film actually was! There is absolutely nothing boring about this movie and it's almost 3 hours in length. I enjoyed every minute of the entire production and look forward to seeing it again.

Really good movie.Lots of very good actors/actress. Gives a good look at how our country grew and the challenges pioneers faced. Touched lightly but included the horror of civil war.The resolved to bring law and order to the country.Also that resilience, hard work were the values of our country.

I saw this movie at the theater in its original Cinerama format. I loved all the actors as were mostly all my favorites. Loved the way the story followed the Prescott family over the years and generations. The stories were great in how they fit into all the historical events of settling the West.

Maybe you’ve never heard of Cinerama, but it’s a technology that was at the forefront of all widescreen exhibition which is standard today, even on our TVs at home. This is one of the best movies ever shot in Cinerama format, and includes a wonderful documentary ”Cinerama Adventure” that explores this topic!

I Got this for my parents to watch so they could see it like it should be. It's a great presentation with great VQ and the set is loaded with extras, taking you down an historical memory lane of how movies were presented back in the day. The movie itself is great, so that's a plus as well.

How The West Was Won in Blu-Ray is outstanding in picture quality. This film is a great story about people in the east traveling along the Eirie Canal and heading westward. Pristine footage of scenes out west makes this film a pleasure to watch!

How the west was won is an older movie but a classic with great actors and history for the growth of America time period. A real good show that is fun to watch.

Entertaining movie. Was though,a bit disappointed that it was set in "Letter Box/Wide-screen format" The scenery is so beautiful in this film,that you hate to miss any,in the shorter screen format. This is a older movie that I originally saw in a movie theater and was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price so my wife, who has not seen it, can watch it anytime we want.

First time I saw it was at the actual movie show in 1962 with my grandparents. It is a wonderful movie and it is loaded with stars.

One of the greatest westerns of all time, and a great remaster that gives the feeling as if you’re truly watching this movie in Cinerama.

I remembered watching this as a kid and had to have it when I saw it on the shelf. It was a great addition to my collection that will be watched more than once!

Hands down one of the best westerns out there. I would strongly recommend this film to any one.
