I purchased this filter to help protect my Camera Lens. A few sales associates told me this was a higher quality filter to still provide quality images. I am pleased as it also helps my lens to not fog up when going from indoors to outdoors for example. I often take portraits at the beach so I was also concerned with protection from sand and scratches.

I use it for protection for my Nikon 77 mm lens. It does not change the image quality and easy to clean.

I always use UV filters to protect all of my camera lenses. The Antistatic properties of the Hoya Antistatic filters work great. So far, they have been the best at repealing dust and require less cleaning.

I've always used UV filters on my lenses. Always. The peace of mind they provide, plus the ease of cleaning, makes them a required addition, along with a lens hood and padded pouch, to any lens I purchase. While I cannot say that this filter does anything other UV filters don't do, it certainly does work well and on the other hand, I have no reason to disbelieve the manufacturer's claims either.

The antistatic is a must. I shoot rural landscapes and always get dust on my lense. I've been through 2 shoots since putting it on and not a speck in sight. A+

I bought this UV filter for my canon EF 70-200mm f2.8, it works perfectly and very clear.

The filter is pricey but does an excellent job and protects your investment in the lens.

This is the best lens protection you can get! If you have an expensive lens, then cover the front element with this filter. Images do not get distorted at all with this Hoya product.
