Q: Is anyone else also getting a rattling touchpad? It rattles even when slightly tapping it
A: I did and exchanged it. My current one do not rattle. That rattling was really annoying.
A: This laptop wouldn't be considered Max-Q, the wattage of the 3060 on it is 90-100w,
A: This is one of the reasons I chose the hp omen15 over the g14! as 8gb ram is soldered and only 1tb of ssd. In short yes both sticks can be upgraded as well as an extra slot for an ssd. with relative ease? not sure, youtube videos suggest is upgrade-friendly tho!
Q: Should I get this model or the 10th gen intel 10750h with RTX3070?
A: Idk about the other one but for comparison this one can run warzone at 75 FPS on avg dipping to 60min FPS at max settings while connected to a 27” 1440p monitor at 100% resolution. This is a beefy laptop especially with the 8 core processor. Save your money, buy this laptop, and upgrade the ram to 32gb.
Q: I’m pretty sure it is but it technically doesn’t specify so is the storage a 2.5 drive or an m.2?
A: The storage would be for an M.2 drive
A: Had this laptop for a week or so and it flickered once. I think it’s from the integrated graphics on the 5800h switching to the 3060 during more intense work. Only a theory but it happened when switching tabs to MW while connected to a 1440p monitor. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal/impacts daily use. Regardless I think there will probably be a driver update for it in the future.
Q: Can the run VR? and DOOM Eternal? My two main objectives.
A: No one really knows for sure about VR as it hasn’t shipped yet. But for playing Doom Eternal, absolutely. It’ll be very good at it.
