Q: Can you upgrade the the 3060 RTX
A: Hp is just being nice. their is no freaking way to do that lol
A: my earlier answer was incorrect. It does have an NVME gen4 ssd, and there is a second slot for another nvme ssd. I purchased a Kingston 1tb gen4 and installed it. The Omen comes with the nvme screw installed so its all set for the customer to add a second ssd to the laptop.
Q: Can you upgrade the ram to 64gb.
A: The RAM on this OMEN Gaming Laptop can be upgraded to a maximum of 32 GB.
Q: What is the battery life like for everyday tasks?
A: Battery life is horrible. I keep it plugged-in while gaming. Unplug and closely monitor the usage while web browsing, managing email, etc.
Q: what is the ssd expantion options like adding more ssds?
A: This Omen laptop can hold a maximum of two (2) SSDs. Mine came with a 1TB WD SSD, and I added a 2TB WD SSD for more storage.
A: Yes, it can be upgraded up to 64 gigabytes of RAM.
A: The first gen 2022 release had the 83Wh battery but HP released a second gen of the Omen's with a complete redesign on the cooling system. With the 2nd gen release, they reduced the battery to a 70Wh pack.
