This 365 nm UV blacklight flashlight with variable focus is designed for quick inspection and identification tasks where fluorescence matters. The 9 LED array (365-370 nm) helps check UV-activated inks and verify currency and documents, examine artwork and glass for hidden repairs, and inspect gemstones and minerals for defects or cracks inside or outside the stone. Use the narrow beam to pinpoint automotive radiator and transmission leaks or assist with HVAC air conditioning system diagnostics, and use the wide beam to scan larger areas such as hotel rooms, fabrics, pottery, china, and surfaces where residues may fluoresce. It can also help locate pet urine stains, detect rodent presence by illuminating dried urine that can glow blue-white when fresh or yellow-white when older, and spot scorpions outdoors. Powered by compatible with 3 x AAA batteries (not included). Due to the intensity of UV light, protective glasses are recommended and do not shine the light into eyes.
