Installation is quick: remove the dirty cartridge and insert the new one into the filter grooves, then fill the filter with tap water. Before use, rinse each new cartridge under cool tap water until the water runs clear to remove carbon dust; allow the system to filter for at least 24 hours before introducing fish to the tank.
