Q: Does this computer have an SD memory card slot to upload photos?
A: Unfortunately no.
Q: will best buy have option to upgrade the memory to 16GB soon ?
A: I'm sorry, I am not sure. You might have to contact Best Buy for that. I have 8GB and it's fast. I'm very impressed with this desktop iMac.
Q: Does Best Buy have someone who can transfer items from my old iMac to my new one?
A: Best to back up to iCloud, then log in to iCloud on the new Mac and your files will automatically download. Geeks at Best Buy can mitigate your files as well. Hope that helps.
Q: Does this have an Ethernet plug in? And two regular USB (not thunderbolt) ports?
A: This particular Mac DOES have an ethernet and ONLY has 4 thunderbolt ports ... there are NO other ports but an adapter can be purchased (see product attached) to add those ports. There is a headphone jack that is built in on the side of the monitor. Hope that helps.
Q: Can I burn dvds from photos /videos
A: You will need an external device. The new iMac trades off some of its all in one appeal for a sleek profile.. Best Buy will be happy to sell you the product under $80 which shoes up as a recommended add to your purchase.
Q: how do you upload photos from a camera memory card
A: You have to buy a memory card reader with usb-c port so you can connect it on the computer.
A: No. Memory (RAM) is not user upgradeable on the iMac 24”
Q: Can I transfer my Microsoft Office subscription that I have on my current iMac to the new 24” ?
A: Yes. I just did that
