The writing in this is amazing. As dark comedy as they come and just the way I like it. Farrell, Gleeson, and Fienes all shine in this.

Very entertaining movie with great acting and action.

Imagine if the Cohen Brothers made a movie set in Europe. It'd be sort of like this. The subject matter is super dark and violent, large parts of the plot are depressing, but you'll find yourself repeatedly laughing despite that. None of the people in this movie are 'good people', and most of them aren't even good at their 'jobs' of being criminals.

The city used for filming this movie is the title. If you get the chance go visit it you will not want to leave. Then when you get home watch this movie to remind you of where you have been. It's a quirky odd film with a lot of foul language but I enjoyed it.

A great movie. Not the fanciest of blu-ray releases, but picture quality and sound was good. Highly recommended if you are into dark comedies. Had no issues with shipping, and it arrived in great condition.

I had seen this movie long ago and enjoyed it mainly because of Colin Ferrell but it's been hard to find at a good price. Glad I purchased it. Good acting and story.

I didn't have high expectations for this one, but it turned out to be pretty good. Much like Lock Stock, Hot Fuzz, Ocean's 11, etc., there is a lot of witty dialogue. Also like those movies, the chain of events goes for comedic predicaments much more than believable situations, but it plays itself as tongue-in-cheek so you don't mind too much.

Martin McDonagh has only made 2 feature-length films, but both have been very good. Where Seven Psychopaths tended towards being a little more absurd, In Bruges is more serious. That's not to say the film is humorless, far from it, but you shouldn't expect to be laughing most of the time. Performances are superb all-around, and the blu-ray's audio/visual presentation never falters.

First off, so far this is my favorite movie of 2008. It is funny, has lots of action, great acting (especially from Colin! Who knew!?), good effects and leaves you wanting more. There is a lot of dark humor, the kind were you laugh then kind of feel bad for laughing. Lots of blood too. If that stuff doesn't bother you, then you'll love this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. Knowing nothing about it ahead of time, I didn't expect much. I'm not a big Colin Farrell fan, but I liked him in this film. It had very dark humor, which I enjoy a lot. It was also violent, but it worked as part of the story. I've recommended it to several people.

This is a great film. The comedy is incredibly dark and punctuated by extremely violent or depressing scenes so don't expect a feel good movie, but it is certainly a good movie and worth watching at least once.
